Still Things To Do While Recovering.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Neither of us had any problem falling asleep last night but due to the fact we are still recovering from this cold/flu it was the on again off again type of sleep that bothered us. When we finally got out of bed it nearly felt like we’d not even slept. After having breakfast we settled in at the computers and the first thing I checked was the Weather Network for our area. They basically backed up what the local news media had showed last night that this above seasonal weather we are having was coming to an end. Kathy and I have been diligently trying to reduce our overstock of food we have on hand but we hadn’t counted on getting sick so now some were at the critically low stage on some. Not that we felt like it but shortly after 10:00 we were on our way to rectify the situation.

Our first stop was the Credit Union where we finally got our banking taken care which included having a mess straightened around that they had created. I tried to stand back from the young teller not wanting to give her the bug we are fighting. She explained that she had been fighting a similar problem for over a month. Not what I wanted to hear and when I told Kathy she agreed. Leaving there it was still early but we used a coupon to have lunch at Arby’s in order to keep our energy level up. The next stop was the Dollar Store for a new pair of tongs to replace the ones we gotten at the grocery store that had broken. The new pair actually looks better built.

Driving over to the Bulk Barn we picked up some healthy snacks that are a lot cheaper when purchased this way. Finally we went next door to the Zehr’s grocery store where it didn’t take long to find everything we needed but even with all the cash registers open it took nearly as long to checkout. While in that line Kathy and I could practically tell just by looking at the expressions and mannerisms of people around us who else was fighting a cold/flu problem.

Lucky for us the temperature had climbed to 48 F (10 C) by the time we got back to the apartment and even though our outing was necessary it seemed to put us back a few steps in recovering. We were so worn out from such a simple chore we both needed afternoon Snaps. It almost feels like we are walking in a fog backwards rather that making progress on purging our STUFF. For supper we tried tomato and rice soup for a change of taste. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. I can't imagine taking this long to purge and move on, we did it in 2 months and seemed to take forever, good luck.
