News We Were Waiting For.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Once again sleeping at night is becoming more of a regular thing now that we are almost over the cold/flu virus that we have been fighting since during the Holiday Season. We were up shortly after 8:00 this morning and after having breakfast it didn’t take long to settle in at the computers. Lucky for me there were only a few blogs we follow that had updated on our sidebar. That meant we could settle in on getting whatever we could get accomplished towards our Fulltiming Adventure. While Kathy took care of some online banking I started sorting our laundry.

Downstairs in the laundry room there were plenty of machines to use but it’s located right next to the building’s service door. The temperatures in our area have been colder than normal for this time of year but inside the building is comfortable. However there are a number of dog owners who feel they don’t need to use their keys to come and go from a secure building when they take their pets for their duties. Those same people prop the rear door wide open while they are outside and don’t bother to close it when they go back inside thus making the laundry room into an Ice Box. When you can see heat rising off wet clothes from the washer you know how cold it was inside. I made a quick trip to the office where after I told Dan the manager what was happening he jumped at putting an immediate end to that practice.

It was minutes after 1:00 by the time I’d finished the laundry and we’d had lunch. At that point we needed to go to the TD Bank to make some adjustments to our accounts. The last few years we’ve had problems receiving our travel monies so now that we’ve made these adjustments our problems should be over.

Since we are still trying to locate some larger clear plastic storage bins our next stop was at Home Hardware. We were half way from the truck to the store when Kathy suddenly felt something wet on her face. Still fighting the cold/flu virus it seems that she has been blowing her nose so much that it was too much and she now had a bloody nose. Finding the tissue box in the truck she reclined while I went in an unsuccessful search for that particular sized container.
Kathy didn’t want to go home just then so we crossed town to the west end Walmart then over to Jysk with the same negative results. We returned to the east end Walmart again having the same result for the container but Kathy lucked out on getting a few groceries that we needed.

Back at the apartment we had a welcomed phone message waiting from Guardian Storage telling us they now had a Climate Controlled Storage Unit for us. Returning their call we confirmed that we’ll take the unit ASAP so we can start emptying things from the apartment which will make our downsizing so much easier. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Love the old cars. Each make and model was different from the next and that's so unlike today where they all look alike.

  2. Its good that you can take more things out of the apartment and not have to work around them.
