Still Recovering, Some Progress And An Explanation.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Even after having Sleepy Time Tea before getting to bed late last night it was only a short while before I had to get up. The reason wasn’t that I wasn’t tired but it felt like I was drowning. A great way to help break a cold or congestion is consuming hot drinks such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate or an over-the-counter drink designed to give you relief. Couple that with a Tylenol Cold and Flu tablet and something had to give. I spent nearly a half hour cleaning myself and my CPAP mask up and still when I tried to return to bed it started all over again. I finished my last five hours of the night in a semi-state of sleep in the reclining loveseat in the living room.
This is what we wanted.
Looking out the window when we got up we saw that the weather guessers forecast for Lake Effect Flurries was accurate and it is supposed to be a continual occurrence throughout the remainder of this week. With nothing really planned for most of this week we made rough plans before spending the morning at the computers. We are really getting into having soup as at least one of our daily meals lately. Later this afternoon we slowly worked together because that’s the only speed we seem able to accomplish since getting this bug. In the past we had the same supplies for the trailer as we did for our apartment. With us going Fulltime that will no longer be the case and we made a huge dent in reorganizing that this afternoon.
This is what we got.
In some of the recent comments people have asked for recipes which I will then let you know once I add them to our recipe page after I find a photo to go with it. Other comments suggest that we are taking quite some time to go Fulltime. We didn’t make our decision until the middle of October after having winterized our trailer. We chose to stay put this winter so we could take our time and make certain that we had crossed all the t’s and dotted all the i’s. We started slowly working on this before and throughout the Christmas Holidays and lots of visits. What we didn’t count on was getting beat up by this Cold/Flu virus that we both came down with and that seems to be taking forever to get rid of. We won’t be starting our Fulltiming until near the end of April but we’ll be working on it until then. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Krackers

Did you hear the one about the optician?

Two glasses and he made a spectacle of himself.

  1. Thought I would share this with you. https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=Mucinex The "key" to making this work well is to drink lots of water with it and through out the day. These really do break up the icky stuff and help you get rid of it. Another tip (from a hos lab worker) Use 1/9 bleach/water and clean all handles and knobs of everything in home, including your car/truck door handles, wheel, knobs... then take 1/9 peroxide/water mix and mist spray on all surfaces. The bleach cleans, the peroxide mix kills the germs and sanitizes. Your both holding on to your illness far too long and most likely re-infecting each other because those bugs live a long time on surfaces. Commode handles and sink facets, light switches and door knobs are the greatest germ collectors. Give this a try, you'll be glad you did. Then make a habit to use these solutions while full timing to keep yourselves well. Been doing this for four years and so far, so good. Thanks for a nice blog.

  2. I changed it up with this year's cold. I took Alka Seltzer severe cold medicine. It really worked great. Might be worth a try.

Hope you feel better very soon.

  3. Craig and I have both been fighting a cold for weeks too. It's not too bad in the daytime, but the cough and congestion at night really gets us down. Hopefully we will all be well and raring to go soon. Sunshine awaits!
