Fulfilling Labor Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Since we were expecting people to come and look at the computer workstations when I opened my eyes just before 8:00 I knew it would be a wise idea to get our day started. I had the window blinds open, the television turned on to the Weather Channel, coffee being made and started getting the cereal ready to be served by the time Kathy walked into the dining room.
After doing our morning reading Kathy started checking our banking and our phone bill online to be certain everyone was keeping honest with us. Once she was done at her desk I took over the area so that I could install a shelf above her monitor. The reason for this was to place her PC printer on the shelf to open up her desktop for doing paperwork. While I was doing that we received a call that the first person was on their way to see the workstations that we were selling.
Kathy was keeping herself busy by starting the slow cooker to cook our spareribs for supper, then making homemade chicken noodle soup as well as a chicken pie for future meals. Some of the soup was eaten for lunch and as always it was delicious. By 1:00 we had eaten lunch, sold one workstation and had the person say they might be calling us back for the file cabinet. He didn’t know we were selling a file cabinet of that size because Kijiji listed it under furniture rather than near the desk or office furniture. Kathy continued baking this afternoon and finally topped it off by making Brownies flavored with Grand Marnier while I continued researching on the computer.
The sun at least made numerous appearances today even though most of the time it was looking through the openings between the clouds. Figuring the roads would be packed with Weekend Warriors in a hurry to pack life into a few hours we decided to stay close to home and we actually watched a movie that we’d missed at the theater. As per usual the other person that wanted to see the workstations was a no-show but just before supper we got another call for the workstation. The best part was it turned out to be a friend of our grandson Tyler and his parent's saw our advertisement on Kijiji so there are no workstations left to sell.
Tomorrow with the kids back in school and the non-retirees back to work we’ll have much more freedom to travel around. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
