Lots of Change.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Things are definitely changing around here. One day the weather is hot, then it’s cool and then again steamy. Even the Weather Channel is showing amazement at the constantly changing weather. Today the temperature only made the low 70’s and tomorrow the upper 70’s but Tuesday the temperature will be in the mid 90’s with a Humidex that will feel well above the century mark before slowly cooling down for next weekend. That is a lot of temperature change
For me it’s my sleep patterns one day I sleep normal then I have a heck of a time sleeping at all. Last night was totally different where I woke up twice while rolling over and then when the sun was creeping into the room. When I looked at the clock it was nearly 9:00 in the morning. I trudged into the dining room to find Kathy had already gotten things to make breakfast prepared and was watching the Weather Channel. She figured I needed the rest because of the lack of sleep that I’ve been getting. Normally I’m awake well before Kathy gets up so it was a quite a change.
When we finally got to the computers we also noticed a number of the RV bloggers are starting to post again after taking sabbaticals either for health reasons or the fact that they were sitting still and thought they didn’t have anything worth writing about. To those bloggers I only have two words “Welcome Back!” Glad they changed their minds.
Before lunch I managed to shred more outdated files that Kathy had culled from our file drawers in our ever changing quest to get rid of STUFF. While sitting down to enjoy our lunch we accidently hit the wrong button on the remote and the movie Fried Green Tomatoes was just starting. Neither of us had seen it before so we changed our plans for the early afternoon and had front row seats to a movie that working people today should take the time to watch and learn from.
Our daughter Karen called later this afternoon inviting us for supper this evening. The last few weeks of the summer made it almost impossible to have our Sunday night visits so not only was this a tasty meal for us but more time to visit. Tonight they had Pulled Pork Sundaes which is mashed potatoes covered with corn then add cole slaw topped with pulled pork. As usual the results are always great tasting food.  Sitting and enjoying one another’s company and catching up on things happening in their lives was a welcome change.
On our way home we stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few food stocks to help see us through next week. Years ago stores weren’t open on Sundays and when you got groceries they would last all week. Now that we are living in the apartment and trailer there is no room to stock up and being retired it gives us something to fill the time. Our shopping habits have changed.
Tomorrow we really don’t have anything seriously planned but in the blink of an eye all that could change. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
