Our Location Today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.
I completed all our Phone errands this morning while Kathy took care of paper work. Notice we are both retired and living in an apartment and there's still WORK.
Had to give notice to the cable company this morning that after the new year we wouldn't be needing their services any longer. They tried to say I'd be charged a fee for disconnect because I had used a promo of theirs back in July. When I explained that we had move in July and they wouldn't connect us without a digital box, all was forgiven.
The other calls included things that were still being mailed to our old address. Everyone that needed notifying was notified on June 9th. Some were renotified again the end of August. Still some again more in October, and now this is rediculous.
Picked Kathy's computer up again. The problem was the optical drive had failed and locked everything up. I asked the young tech what the heck he was talking about in computer for dummies terms, because I are one. The DVD burner had messed up. This world is getting way too complicated for me!
After hitting the grocery store and the one bag turned into eight we finally made it home with all our errands completed for today.
We are feeling the cold breeze here in Ontario and the forecast is for a dusting of snow tonight. If any of you were watching the news I think we are better off than what happened in California yesterday. I watched the news showing clips of tractor trailers being flipped on roads. A van pulling an enclosed utility trailer stopped at a traffic light, when suddenly the trailer gets flipped over almost taking the van with it. I am hoping that all of you with your RV's did not experience any severe damage to your rigs from that.
Here's hoping everyone is starting to get in the spirit of the season. Here's some more Christmas lights to look at. Enjoy!
It's about time.
Krackers
A couple of hunters are out in the woods when suddenly one of them falls to the ground. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are rolled back in his head.
The other guy whips out his cell phone and calls 911 emergency services. He gasps to the operator, "My friend is dead! What can I do?"
The operator, in a calm soothing voice, says, "Just take it easy. I can help, but first let’s make sure he's dead".
There's a silence on the line, then a shot is heard. The guy’s voice comes back on the line and says, "Okay, now what?"
