Our Location Today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.
It's amazing that you can feel like a walking Zombie during the day but still can't get a decent uninterupted night of sleep. You lay in bed with a blank mind and no sleep. You try to talk yourself to sleep and occassionaly it works for about 10 minutes. It is almost as if subconsciously you are scared that if you fall asleep you might miss something. Probably the moon will go down and the sun will rise. Yippee! It is partially related to our sleep apnea both Kathy and I have that problem. It is a very annoying problem because you are afraid to nap for fear you won't sleep again that night.--
Today was chores day. Kathy helped seperate the laundry while I changed the bed. While I'm washing the laundry she finished decorating the Christmas tree and made lunch. I set the laundry in the driers went up for lunch. When I went back to fold the clothes Kathy was vacuuming the living room.
Once the clothes were put away I went to do my Christmas shopping for Kathy. I was very amazed how busy the Devonshire Mall was for a Tuesday afternoon. In the meantime Kathy wrapped my gifts while I was gone and did up the dishes. Just a ho hum kinda day!
I didn't get a picture of our tree just yet but will be posting it on Thursday along with a few more Christmas Light Displays. More Amherstburg Christmas Display. Enjoy.
It's about time.
Krackers
I've had repeated requests for my Tequila Christmas Cake recipe: Please keep it in your files as I'm getting worse at typing this up every year! Remember to test as you go.
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup water
1 tsp. salt
1 cup brown sugar
Lemon juice
4 large eggs
Nuts
1 bottle tequila
2 cups dried fruit
Sample the tequila to check quality. Take a large bowl; check the tequila again to be sure it is of the highest quality. Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point, it is best to make sure the tequila is still OK. Try another cup just in case. Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 eegs and add to the bowl and chuck iin the cup of dried fruit. Pick the fruit up off the floor. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit getas stuck in the beaterers, just pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the tequila to test for tonsisticity. Next, sift 2 cups of salt, or something. Check the tequila. Now shift the lemon ice strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 s and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window. Finish the tequila and wipe the counter with the cat.
