Windier Then Forecasted.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

After waking well rested Saturday morning I thought that there would be no problem sleeping last night. That was a mistake. I probably accumulated Three Hours of sleep and felt like it was time to go back to bed when I got up.

Intense Rain against the Door.

When we were Fulltiming in our RV the sound of Rain on the roof helped us both to sleep but here in the Apartment when it pounds against the Window it sounds like a drum and last night that drum was beating the entire time.

Kathy joined me earlier this morning for breakfast so we had more time to get caught up on our Computer Reading. We were also feeling the chill inside so we chose to have Split Pea with Ham Soup for lunch with a Yogurt Cup for dessert.

It stopped raining just before the Wind increased.

Before returning to the Computers Kathy set up the Crock Pot to cook our supper.

In yesterday’s Blog I mentioned that our area was forecasted to get 50 MPH Winds with Rainy periods so when we couldn’t see out the Window that’s what we thought we were getting. Minutes later the Rain cleared but the Wind became so strong it tipped our Tandem Bike that had been fastened to the Balcony Rail down and proceeded to shed the Cover.

Wind Gusts in lower left corner.

When the Wind started rattling the Balcony Door I checked to find the Wind Gusts were at 69 MPH coming from the Southwest. The fact that we are on the Eighth Floor there was nothing to block the wind for us. The safest thing we could do was to leave the Bike lying flat.

We figured we needed a break from the News so we watched a Hallmark Christmas Movie before supper with a couple more after. The Wind is presently only gusting to 40 MPH so we are not hearing its roar on the Railing.

Kathy made some Bisquick Biscuits to go with the Pork Roast and Potatoes with Onions. Everything tasted wonderful and there’s more for tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  5. Apparently there were record winds. They shook town and country so hard that the seismic meters recorded them!

  6. Winds like that are not good for much of anything in my opinion. Those happened now and then when I worked in Washington State and usually caused lots of damage.
    Good luck and be safe.
