Response and Another Cool Breezy Day.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

We were both up by 7:30 EST this morning which is around the time we were getting up last week but we went to bed around 11:30 last night which would have been late for us. The reason I bring this up is someone asked how we were feeling on the first day of returning to Standard Time. My response was that “The first day is always easy it’s the second and third day that are the hard ones”.

We were wide awake but feeling like we were dragging anchor. Kathy said she’d be having a Snap this morning but once we moved to the Computers the mental stimulation seemed to energize us both.

Kathy again cracked open the Balcony Door to check the weather. The Sun was shining brightly but the 35 MPH Breeze that came through the door was too cool to keep it open.

Kathy was finally able to cancel getting her Flu Shot at the Drug Store. When you get your shots there they are a lower strength then those you get from your Family Doctor. Since his supply came in last week she made an appointment to her shot there instead.

With the morning chores completed it was time to make lunch. Today on the menu was Chunky Chicken with Rice Soup along with a shared Apple with Cookies and a Chocolate Pudding Cup for our dessert.

Again we spent the afternoon doing what was needed before returning to the Computers. Kathy was starting to feel tired so she turned on the Television and was immediately bombarded with the Election Eve happenings that both President Trump and Joe Biden were doing as they both scrambled to gain last minute support.

We switched over to our 6 o’clock Local News while we worked together getting supper ready. Kathy made Bisquick Biscuits while I heated up the Half Rack of Precooked Spare Ribs from Lou’s Kitchen. Within Ten Minutes we were having supper while listening to the News. We had a few more Cases today but things are not looking good for London. The police broke up a party on the weekend where there were over a Hundred and Fifty People inside a Townhouse with no Masks. It was mostly University Students involved.

The Weather Guessers are saying we might have a One Week reprieve on the temperatures. We could be seeing temperatures in the Sixties which we’ll gladly take. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Words of Inspiration

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.

Marcus Tullius Cicero 106 BC – 43 BC

  3. Interesting about the flu shots, I had no idea. Love the Cicero quote but I have to say: I'm completely unsure which one is the plague this time... but I fear we will soon find out.

  4. The only thing I know about flu shots is that the ones for people 65 and over are stronger than the flu shot given to the younger population...is that what you are referring to?

    Befitting words of inspiration.
