Making Calls, Soft Start, More Organizing, Entries and Still Waiting.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Even though we both went to bed earlier and slept like a couple of rocks last night we also slept until 8:30 this morning. What that means is our Biological Clocks are not resetting our sleep time but just keeps hitting the Snooze Button.

We took our Coffee/Tea to the Computers but as soon as the Clock showed 9:00 I started making calls. Even though a lot of businesses are opening back up in the US here in Ontario they are taking the slower approach which meant the best I could do was to leave messages.

It was warm enough to open the Balcony Door slightly as a way of letting Fresh Air in and keeping the Rain showers out. It just seemed that things would start to dry and the Rain would start again.

One of the Comments on yesterday’s Blog asked what Holiday it was we were celebrating. Just like the US has many Holidays that we don’t celebrate in Canada so do we and yesterday was one. It was our Victoria Day or May 24 Weekend (even though that’s not always the date) dating back to when we were still a part of the British Commonwealth. Even as a stand alone country we still celebrate the Holiday.

While reading Where are the Dixons Today? they wrote about installing a Soft Start Unit to their Air Conditioner on their Travel Trailer. This allows you to use your AC while running a Two Thousand Watt Generator or multiple ACs on a single 30 Amp Power Pole. It’s easy to install and comes with Instructions and all the Hardware. We’ll wait until we get our Trailer back from the Factory but if you are interested mention you saw it on the Dixon’s site you could both get a Discount Card for it.

Around the time I was making the bed our Optometrist’s Office called and spoke to Kathy about her eye problem. They instructed her how treat it for the next week when they’ll double check how things are going.
For lunch we finished the Leftover Chili with Macaroni and Parmesan Cheese from the other dayWe then had Oranges, Cookies along with Yogurt Cups for our dessert.

Kathy wasn’t quite happy with the way the Food Stocks were in our kitchen Cupboards and did more organizing. I’ve been slacking since we started this Social Distancing and haven’t been keeping up on our Expenditure Entries on our Expense Spreadsheet. Even though some Entries were from March through to May there were less them what we normally have in a week. I guess there was a benefit to this Isolation.

For supper Kathy suggested having French Toast so that’s what I made.

On the 6 o’clock Local News the weather guesser showed we reached 65 F (18.6 C) this afternoon and we should start seeing nicer weather by the end of the week. We watched another movie before settling back down to the Computers.

Tomorrow we’ll try calling Hearing Life again since they didn’t call us back before doing something else. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
Krackers

Did you hear about the restaurant on the moon?

Great food, but no atmosphere.

  2. Another nice day at home. I know for paperwork and computer work I have to be in the mood otherwise it doesn't get done. Hope Kathy's eye problem is fixed easily!

  3. Short History Lesson. Canada is still part of the British Commonwealth and the Head of State is the Queen of Canada.
