I managed to have everything ready for breakfast and part of my morning reading on the Computer finished before Kathy joined me. She had a hard time to fall asleep last night so had to make up for it this morning.
When I don’t exercise on a regular basis it is not uncommon that my body tells me so in not so gentle means. Before I started doing the Laundry yesterday it felt like I had been kicked in the back with a Steel Toed Boot and I do know what that feels like. This morning while Kathy was looking through her closet for certain clothes I managed to get a decent workout in. The end result was no more pain anywhere in my body. I definitely have to be more routine even while staying in the Apartment.
For lunch we had the Leftover Shredded Beef Brisket along with our usual dessert plate of Oranges, Cookies and Yogurt Cups.

After washing up we were soon out the door but had to make a little detour downstairs as a new tenant was busy moving into the building.
Sanford with his new Rope Toy.
Our destination was our daughter Karen’s home in Tecumseh. Even though we’ve spoken on the phone and Kathy has visited on Face-Time it has been months since we’ve actually visited in person. We didn’t go inside but sat on the deck as a way of Social Distancing. Karen and Tyler were working on finishing yard work while Kylla was cleaning her room. Greg being a Skilled Tradesman was working at the Chrysler Assembly Plant getting things ready for next week when production at the Mini-Van Plant is scheduled to resume. Even with 68 F (20 C) Kathy needed to wear her jacket to stay comfortable.
Sorry. No Pictures of the kids.
The one that was most exited to see us was Sanford. Like many Blogs we read the pets just cannot understand why friends and family that have always visited just suddenly stop coming around. Long before the Coronavirus Kathy and I would sometimes just stop in to visit with Sanford. Today Sanford knew that we didn’t forget him when we presented him with another Rope Toy. He also enjoyed the deep massage that I was able to give him. How often do you hear a dog moaning with pleasure. Even Karen was laughing at that.
We had an enjoyable visit but the hard part was not getting any hugs from anyone before we left. We’ll try to get more visits in.
Instead of heading home we went to Guardian Storage where the first thing we did was to collect our Mail. Then we headed back to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. Since Kathy could not find her Sandals or Capris in the Apartment I knew exactly where to look. When we emptied the Trailer last Fall the clothes we didn’t bring with us was put in Storage Bins to protect them. It took less then a minute to locate that Bin. It had everything Kathy was looking for along with my dress Cargo Shorts. We also brought Kathy’s Antique Sewing Table along as she wants to do some sewing. We did swing by the Trailer to be certain nothing was wrong. Having raised the Solar Panels the day we parked it has kept our Batteries fully charged.
It was past 4:30 as we headed towards the Apartment but Kathy wasn’t sure what we would have for supper. I made a suggestion that she liked. We went through the Drive-Thru at Arby’s and picked up a couple of Greek Gyros for our meal. By placing our food in an Insulated Shopping Bag the Gyros remained warm until we ate them.

Back at the Apartment we enjoyed our meal before unloading the Car. We planned on watching the 6 o’clock Local News but got interested in a movie and totally forgot about it. We ended the evening watching another Mystery Movie before watching the 11 o’clock Local News that was broadcasted from London.

Not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow but we’ll try to make it interesting. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  4. It is almost awkward to say bye without hugging friends/family. What a year this has been.

  5. I agree with you gone Rogue, out grandchildren wanted hugs and I had to refuse! I could have cried but for my own health had to accept that I could not do it.
We will be glad when this virus is in check!
