After having a couple nights of sound sleep we both tossed around a bit last night which meant it was past 8:00 when we got up. Of course forgetting to shut our Cell Phones last night off didn’t help when some unknown caller decided it was important to call at 3:00 in the morning. I’ve already turned them off as I write his Blog.
Gloomy looking morning.
Looking outside the Clouds still filled the sky but according to The Weather Network we would be seeing the Sun later in the day. We had the Balcony Door open by 9:30 with a comfortable breeze blowing from the East.

Once the inside chores were finished we wrote up a different type of Shopping List this morning. One thing we learned while living Fulltime in our Trailer is that space is very valuable and the kitchen in our Apartment has even less. When Kathy reorganized the Cupboards the last couple of days she found a problem with some of our Storage Containers for our Food Stocks. Some Containers were Square while others Rectangular which worked perfect in the Trailer but not here.
For lunch we had Grilled Cheese Sandwiches garnished with Olives and topped off with Grapes, Cookies and Yogurt Cups for dessert.
It was just past 1:00 when we headed out the door. When we got to the parking lot most of the overnight lakes had dried up.
Our first stop was the nearby Home Hardware store. Wearing our Masks we practised Social Distancing while waiting Five Minutes before we could go inside. Again we had our own personal assistant that asked what we were looking for and took us right to it. There were only Two Rubbermaid Stackable Storage Containers available in the size we needed so we took them both.
We then headed to the east end Canadian Tire store. Again wearing our Masks we stood about Twentieth in line to get inside here. We arrived just on time because there was suddenly a longer line behind us. Inside they did not have the Stackable Containers we were looking for but did have the kitchen sized Garbage Bags we needed. Surprisingly as we approached the checkouts there were long shelves full of Hand Sanitizer in different sizes but all priced much higher then we’ve ever seen them. We got Two Pocket Sized Bottles.
Still in need of more Stackable Containers we drove to the Home Hardware Building Center in Tecumseh. After putting our Masks on again we had no issues just walking in this store. There were no assistants to help you here and since it has been recently expanded so it took about Five Minutes to locate the Rubbermaid Stackable Storage Containers. There were only Four in the size we needed on the shelf and Kathy scooped them all up.

Back at the Apartment not knowing who had handled those Containers we washed them out. Even though they were thoroughly dried they were left to sit a bit longer before Kathy started filling them from the Square Containers. Now the Cupboards are looking much more organized.
While I cleaned and finely sliced a couple of Potatoes Kathy was breading and cooking some Pacific Salmon Fillets. She also sauteed the Potato Slices. With Coleslaw as a side and Fruitcake for our dessert our supper was perfect.

The weather guesser on the 6 o’clock Local News was showing warmer temperatures heading our way within a week. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

  1. It just makes you feel better to be organized. I think I may need some of those plastic tubs.

  2. I'm an organization nut - everything in its place... drives Brad crazy because everytime we 'move' I need new containers to fit the new space --- and we move A LOT... LOL

  4. I was surprised how different the policies are from store to store here too. Home Hardware had long lines.

  5. I love Home Hardware. They always seem to have unique items. Maybe a buck or so higher than other stores though.
I found hand sanitizer today too. $3.99 for a tiny bottle. Using booze would be cheaper, just barely.
