Our Location today is at McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

We knew that we had to be up at a decent time this morning so we didn’t plan on sleeping in. We shouldn’t have thought about it because we were both tossing and turning the better part of the night. With a 10:00 appointment we both nearly jumped out of bed when we saw 8:30 on the Clock. Breakfast was Lite and Easy as we managed to be ready and out the door by 9:15.
The way the Sky was all day.
Our destination was to see our Optimologist in Windsor for Kathy’s One Month Follow-up. We made it with minutes to spare but then the Parking Permit Machine decided to act up. Apparently the Toonie that I was attempting to pay with had nicks in the outer edge from a previous user that the machine disliked. Luckily, we both carry a few coins just in case.

David was very pleased with Kathy’s outcome and happily measured her for Computer and Reading Glasses. He also filled in part of a form that Kathy had to complete before his receptionist FAXed it to the Ministry of Transport so they would remove Kathy’s restriction removed from her driver’s license that requires her to have Eyeglasses on while driving. That not only saved us a stop but at least an hour.

We stopped at Guardian Storage where the first thing we did was pick up our Mail. Driving back to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit we had to find something. With our recently adding all the Merry Thanksmas Gifts here to give us more room in our Trailer guess what had to be moved first. Using our Battery Powered LED Lights, it only took a few minutes to locate what I needed but I wasn’t happy. It was located in the very back corner of our Storage Unit so after moving a few more things the repacking started.

It was already past 11:30 when we left the Storage Yard and we had more errands to run so we went to Wendy’s for lunch. Where else can you get Two Chicken Wraps, Two Medium Chocolate Frosties and Two Senior’s Sized Soft Drinks all for $7.19. We took our time enjoying our meal and People Watching.

With our Shopping List in hand we headed over to the Zehrs Super Store where we managed to get most everything on our List.

Those Two Things that we needed they didn’t carry so we went to the West-end Walmart. The one thing was out of stock but the other was a new Battery for Kathy’s Watch. It took Three Associates before they were able to change the Battery. Then it would take another Associate to finally get the Back reinstalled on her Watch. Total cost was $6.12, the Hour of entertainment Priceless.

Golfers at the 19th Hole Restaurant.
We finally made it Home by 4:00 and the Clouds were looking very threatening. It didn’t take long to get everything inside and put away. I went out to the Weber where I grilled Two Hotdogs and a Zucchini while Kathy made up a nice Greek Flavoured Pasta Salad along with serving the last of the Cantaloupe for dessert. It all turned out wonderful and tasted great.

It’s been over a week since I last cut the grass so after supper Kathy did up the Dishes while I took care of that chore.

We later watched a Movie titled “Hounddog” about a carefree young girl, played by Dakota Fanning, growing up in Alabama in the 1950s that had to face the Realities of Life after she is Raped. Slow paced but a moving video.

The forecasted Rain finally started after 9:00. We’ll see what we do tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. Oh them clouds look nice. Even some rain would be nice about know.
All we have is smoke from all the fire's. In fact we had a fire not more than a mile from the house yesterday. It was a big one two choppers don't know how many engins and tankers all this in 106 degree weather. The desert is looking better all the time. Injoy the rain

  2. So glad Kathy did well at her follow up. When do you get yours, Rick?

Just so you know—your post text is still underlined. Is anyone else seeing it?

Only Kathy can make hot dogs look like a gourmet meal!
