Getting Fixed Up.

Our Location today is Moore Haven, Florida, U.S.A.

Last night we found one of the local news channels that was broadcasting at 10:00 so we thought we’d be fast asleep by 11:00. During a commercial break the network advertised the season premiere for one of our favorite mystery series that we had not yet seen coming on at 11:00. (You guessed it.) We saw the early morning glimmers of moonlight coming in before we went to sleep. This is where it gets weird! If we go to bed early we sleep in late. If we go to bed late we get up early. We’ll leave our bodies straighten that mess up. We cannot get it right.

After having breakfast Kathy opened the door to let in some fresh air but quickly closed it as the morning temp was down near 50 F (10 C) at the start of the day. So we settled in for our morning reading before getting serious about what we needed to do. Kathy first had me slicing some of the fruit that she had purchased yesterday so that it could be easily served for our meals.

Every RVer knows that not everything you do or use runs smoothly or doesn’t need some kind of maintenance once in a while. By 10:00 the temps were in the low 60’s and there were a bunch of little things that just seemed to be popping up one after the other. It started with finishing the installation of the solar lights we didn’t expect that some wouldn’t work this year. Next was installing a new water bib splitter and I even repaired the leaky hose bib that belonged to the park. (I hate wasting water.) I added a new grommet in our flags to make them hang better thus stopping them from hitting the ground. (A big No No!) Finally I attempted to get all the rope lights working in the gazebo but ended leaving one set off so the rest would work properly.

After lunch using the tracking number on the computer we found out our package we’ve been waiting for had been delivered shortly after noon. We rode our bicycles over to the garbage drop-off before going to the office where sure enough “We had mail”. It was a new SIM card for our Trac phone that we use when we travel in the US. For some reason our phone stopped working and when I went online to their site the tech determined it was a faulty SIM card. (We never had any other phone do that before.) Another hour on the phone and it is now up and running the way it should have been all along.

For supper I grilled a couple of hotdogs and asparagus on the Weber Q while Kathy used the last of the Strawberries in some yogurt to make a wonderful dessert. Not only was it a healthy tasty meal but it was low in calories which we could use a lot less of.

After eating we did something we don’t normally do and that was to attend a Bingo put on in the Clubhouse. It started at 7:00 and there were plenty of close calls but finally Kathy managed to get the shape that was necessary for a win. We didn’t win the big jackpot but we still walked out with $8.00 ahead for our adventure.

Now that we have a working phone again we have a few more things that need straightening up. Since tomorrow is supposed to be the coldest day since this past December 12th for this area it seems like the perfect day to get those things done. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
