Our Location today is Moore Haven, Florida, U.S.A.
By 7:00 this morning I just couldn’t lay in bed any longer
so even though the sun wasn’t up yet I still opened the blinds in the back
rooms. Finally after I had finished reading all the morning blogs and E-mails
did I start getting things ready for our breakfast. It was nearly 8:30 by the
time Kathy walked in the kitchen and we ate breakfast while watching the local
weather forecast. Apparently the short glimpse of the sun rising at 7:19 this
morning would be the last that the sun would be visible throughout our day as
the sky was thickly blanketed with clouds. Kathy went to do her reading while I
made the bed and changed to begin working on my next challenge.
When I installed the Fantastic Fan yesterday where the main
room vent was there were no visible power lines visible. Under Rick’s
suggestion this morning I pried my arm between the ceiling joists in an attempt
to find a wire bundle that most manufacturers run over the ceiling. Striking
out with that another attempt was made by removing the inside Air Conditioner
Shroud. Again no overhead wires were found but now I could see how the A.C. had
dirtied the ceiling so I cleaned that before reassembling the unit. The next
game plan would involve running a double line all the way back to the fuse
panel but I didn’t have the appropriate wire to do the job.
Since we’d be back late for lunch we had an early one before
leaving the trailer. Kathy also encouraged me to call our friend Kathie to see
how Ross was doing since it’s been a month since we last spoke. He was
recovering from eyelid surgery from yesterday and it looks like he got in a
fight but he can see much better. His kidneys are still causing problems for
him as well and the excess fluid buildup affects his heart.
It was a half hour drive to Labelle and from past experience
we went straight to Ace Hardware where I was able to find the perfect length of
lamp wire to do the job. We also went back to the Ford dealership for a new oil-change
sticker. They marked the one they installed for the next change calculated in
miles not the Kilometers that our odometer figures in. We wouldn’t make it out
of Florida before needing another oil-change.
Back at the trailer I started running the wire through the
rear of the refrigerator cabinet when Elaine stopped over reminding us of the
Pizza dinner we were all attending at the clubhouse tonight. That is when I remembered
we hadn’t gotten to visit with our new found friends from Grand Bend, Ontario.
Since they’ll be leaving tomorrow we hopped on the tandem and rode down to
their site to visit. Unfortunately when we got there they were gone so we left
them a note. When we got back to the trailer I cleaned up in preparation for
our big night out.
The deep dish pizza was made by Pizza Hut and was delicious
as usual. When we had filled in our order forms we made the choice of the kind of
pizza we wanted so nobody was disappointed. There was also Garlic bread, salad,
iced tea, lemonade and cupcakes that was made on site by park volunteers. As
soon as the meal was cleared away being that it was Tuesday evening it was Karaoke
night and as before many of the park patrons tried their best to entertain
their neighbors.
The weather for the next few days should be slightly warmer
than normal for this time of year so we’ll see what we can do. Thanks for
following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
