Our Location today is Moore Haven, Florida, U.S.A.
We were both tired enough from all our chores yesterday that
we were in bed by 10:30 last night and didn’t wake up until nearly 8:00 this
morning. The cooler overcast skies might have had something to do with that making
it so we didn’t want to get out of a warm cozy bed. We enjoyed our breakfast before checking the
computers to catch up on our reading.
By 9:30 Kathy was busy making a single batch of her Honey
Garlic Chicken Wings in the slow cooker for tonight’s supper. I made up the bed
before dressing to go outside to exercise. Christmas Eve was the last time that
I had been able to exercise and I was really starting to feel the effects of
not working out.
I started by riding my bicycle around the RV park and the
surrounding neighborhood stopping only a couple of times to drink the water
that I’d brought along. Forty-five minutes and ten miles later I returned to
the trailer where Kathy had just finished getting the slow cooker going and prepared
a vegetable salad that we’d have later with our lunch. She came outside to sit and
read on our patio while I used my dumbbells and barbell that I carry in the
trailer to continue my workout for another hour. By the time I finished Kathy noted
that it was already time to have lunch so we headed in to enjoy her salad and a
sandwich.
We spent most of the afternoon researching store locations
in Fort Myers where we plan on making a four stop run this coming Friday. Of
course when I tried to print it out I had to save it as a PDF then convert it
to a word document before I could make it print.
Around 2:00 we started making our second dish for tonight which
was Fried Wantons. Kathy manned the frying pan while I sugar coated them with
icing sugar. Because of our limited counter space our multi-purpose water cart
helped give us the extra space we needed to get the job done. Once we were
finished we each had to sample one for Quality Control purposes of course.
Shortly before 6:00 we walked over to the Clubhouse where
there was a potluck dinner being held. When Kathy had signed up there had only
been a dozen people to say they were bringing something but there were many who
didn’t sign up and just brought something to feed the masses. Kathy said if she
had known more people were coming she’d have doubled what we brought. Sadly
there were no leftovers for us to bring back to the trailer.
Since this is considered the winter season that means there
is also Karaoke on Tuesday nights. Some of the folks that were brave enough to
sing we recognized from our visit here last year along with many newcomers. The
crowd would soon start to thin out after 8:30 but there was fun had by all.
We are expecting something in the mail tomorrow and if that
arrives early we’ll have a full day ahead of us. Thanks for following along and
feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

I really like your set up. The exercise area is really nice.
ReplyDeleteLooks like lots of people participated in Karaoke. That is always a fun time.
