Our Location today is Moore Haven, Florida, U.S.A.
Just before 7:00 this morning my back told me it was time to
get out of bed. The first thing I did was to open the blinds and shades in the
kitchen/dining area and then the rear bedroom. The overcast weather did nothing
to increase the internal lighting what so ever. There was a slight blanket of
fog that was hovering just above the ground but the sky would remain cloud
covered for the rest of the day.
I had the majority of my reading complete when Kathy came
out to join me just before 8:00. It felt strange not having known that she was
moving about upstairs as our newly installed stabilizers were definitely doing
what they were advertised to do stopping the movement in the trailer.
The local weather channel only confirmed what was visible by
the naked eye that it would remain a dull uninviting day with a cool enough
breeze that you would see those that did venture out wearing jackets and
sweaters.
Once breakfast was completed we instinctively returned to
the computers. With my reading complete I verified the location of our FedEx package.
After I left them a comment yesterday that their tracking Sucked they sent an
apology an updated status and an approximate time of delivery. In the meantime
we received a call from Elaine and Rick asking if we wanted to go with them to
Camping World and Costco in Fort Myers. Because we were waiting for our delivery
we said thanks but maybe another time.
They left while we were having our lunch which is understandable.
When I returned to the computer to check for an upgrade to the delivery of the
package it said delivered. We’d had our door open and no attempt to deliver
anything to us here had taken place so there was only one place it could be.
Kathy held down the fort while I took the truck up to the office. Sure enough
there was a huge box sitting near the reception desk with our name on it. The
receptionist was busy on the phone and with someone else at the desk so with
someone else to hold the door I simply dragged the box out to the truck.
Kathy’s face was all aglow when she saw me arrive with the
box on the rear of the truck. She went to get her shoes on and came out to help
me unpack our delivery. There was a box inside of a box and then all the
disassembled parts were tied together with plastic wire ties. With everything
cut loose there was still cardboard that was wrapped and taped around every
painted surface so it would arrived unscratched. After mounting the front
wheel, pedals, handle bars and seats we were now seeing what we ordered. This
is a Green Zone Folding Tandem Bicycle but there is a problem. Because Kathy’s
legs tend to be long so after everything had been adjusted as much as possible
her knees were hitting the rear handle bar. To rectify this problem we’ll just
replace the handlebars with some that are taller.
I made my first attempt at grilling bacon wrapped hotdogs
with cheese on the Weber for supper. I was worried about melting the cheese too
much so the bacon wasn’t as crispy as we would have liked it. They still tasted
great but next time I’ll try a higher heat to make the bacon crispier.
Kathy did the supper dishes while I set up our meds for the
next few weeks. Then before 7:00 we went over to the clubhouse for another
night of Bingo but we weren’t as luck as we were last week. Two weeks of
entertainment for the both of us for a total of $4.00 is actually not too bad
at all.
Tomorrow we’ll be heading back to Fort Myers to try and get
things straightened around here. Thanks for following along and feel free to
leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

When sitting on the seat, your leg should be almost fully extended when the pedal is at it's lowest point. Unless your wife is about 4 ft tall :) , that seat needs to be raised. Not having this set correctly can lead to knee injury. Have fun !
ReplyDeleteThat is one cool looking bike. That will get you around the RV park....and other places.
ReplyDeleteGreat bike - how adventuresome - you must get someone to take a pic of you both so we can see it in action....I reckon it will be fun.....happy peddling
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to get a picture of you both riding it. Looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteSo good to read that the stabilizers are doing their job. We are going to look at them when we get to the Q.
