Cleaning Up and Catching Up.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Even though we had plenty of fresh air yesterday. Even though we slept with the window slightly ajar and the covers pulled up. Even though we went to bed at nearly our usual time we both didn’t sleep well at all. We did manage to get out of bed shortly after 8:00 this morning but the temptation was there to crawl back between the sheets to make up for our lack of sleep.

As soon as breakfast was over we headed to the computers for our morning reading. With that completed I busied myself sorting laundry since it was over a week since I last did that chore. Kathy started dusting the apartment because she was expecting the nurse from Healthy Heals today and always makes certain the apartment is spotlessly clean before anyone comes to visit.

The laundry room was empty so I had no problem getting any machines. Between the wash and the drying I returned to the apartment to finish cleaning the last of the tools and supplies that I had used in the living room when I converted it to a temporary workshop. Kathy was beaming when she saw the room as it should always appear. We had our lunch before I returned to finish folding our clothes downstairs.

I managed to get back to the apartment and put the clothes away before the nurse called on her arrival. I puttered reading while she took care of Kathy’s feet. As soon as she left we were out the door.

Our first stop was the local UPS depot to pick up the Weather Station that Kathy had ordered on Amazon. Since we were so close we went across the street where for the next hour we did our grocery shopping at the Zehr’s Grocery Store. Luckily we have insulated shopping bags to keep the meats, frozen foods and produce cold. We added three more stops before heading home.

We dropped the claim forms at Green Shield who will reimburse the fee paid to Healthy Heals for Kathy’s foot care. Next we stopped at Princess Auto where we were unsuccessful at finding a drill bit I needed. We went to Home Depot who also didn’t have the drill bit but did have the piece of wood that I’ll need to replace the leg for the trailer project that I messed up yesterday.

Back at the apartment we were busy putting all the food away that we’d just bought before I fired up the Weber. Kathy made a wonderful salad and noodle side dish to go with a beautiful Coho Salmon fillet that I grilled up.

After the dishes and the news were done I drove over to Home Hardware where after suffering a severe case of sticker shock I found the drill bit that I had looked unsuccessfully for before. Tomorrow I’m hoping to play a major game of catchup on this project I’m now behind on. There is a lot more things I’ve got to get done in the next 99 days before we head south this winter. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
