Another Coat, Hockey and Errands.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

One could really get used to sleeping with the windows open like this because you soon start waking up in the morning feeling totally refreshed the way a good night’s sleep should make you feel. It was after 8:15 when we both woke up this morning and neither of us remembered waking at all through the night. While having breakfast the Weather Channel once again confirmed that we were in for another beautiful summer like day. It is hard to remember that we’re already into the fall season.

We headed over to our computers where once again we got caught up on what the rest of the RV blogging community is up to. When we were finished with the blogs, e-mails and world news we moved on to other things.

As usual Kathy examined what was in the fridge that could possibly spoil if it wasn’t cooked or recreated as she likes to say. It wasn’t long and she was starting to make lunch. In the meantime after Kathy’s suggestion to darken the finish on the cart for the trailer I set up the balcony with the tarp again and started adding a third coat of stain. After lunch we had a few minutes to recheck the computers if anyone else had written before we had to leave.

Shortly after 1:00 we were on our way to the new Belle River Arena to watch our grandson Tyler play hockey. We managed to get there before Tyler and our daughter Karen showed up. As soon as the teams before his left the rink the Zamboni was out resurfacing the ice. Today the opposing team was quick to strike scoring within the first minute of the game. That was when Tyler’s team realized what they were up against and got their game together.

After the score was 3 – 1 in favor of Tyler’s team the opposing team started chalking up a number of penalties for unnecessary roughness. It was amazing that none of the goals were scored during any penalty periods. At the end of the game Tyler’s team showed what they were made of and walked away with a 4 – 1 victory.
Great weather day for driving the classics.
We needed to stop at the 7 eleven on the way home to get some information on the cell phone we purchased back in July. We were on our way to our next stop with the information that it seems these employees are given but is not published in the owner’s manual of the phones.

We stopped at Home Depot to pick up a small piece of Oak trim that I’ll reshape and bring to my friend Ross’s so we can repair his cabinet in the near future.

We only have to look in our building's parking lot to see Fall.
Some trees are nearly bare while others in full color.
The last of the homemade apple pie and frozen yogurt.
Kathy uses vegetable shortening and not lard for her crusts.
Back at home Kathy made another meal by recreating a food dish for our supper. The cart has dried nicely with some slight tackiness. Tomorrow we have another busy day ahead of us. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
