Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.
Both Kathy and I are back on track; sleeping like normal
human beings at night. We were both wide awake by 8:00 this morning but still
felt groggy for nearly an hour after breakfast. Neither of us took anything to
help sleep since the other night.
Since we had no real plans for the day we spent the morning
reading and surfing on our computers. For lunch we worked together to make a
tasty ham and Veggie wrap that was quite filling. After lunch we went back to
Home Depot to exchange some nuts and bolts that were the wrong size as well as
picking up a single piece of trim.
Back at the apartment I attempted to design an add-on to the
one project that I was cutting material for yesterday. My brain just couldn’t
get the calculations right so I put it on hold until I can think better. Kathy
was busy getting some of our tax receipts ready for next spring when we return
from our winter down south. For supper I grilled a couple of nice boneless
pork-chops on our Weber while Kathy steamed some broccoli and made a nice pasta
side dish to go with it and Jello for dessert. We were enjoying our meal when the phone rang.
Our daughter Karen needed a ride to the Devonshire Mall. Our
granddaughter Kylla had used the car to go shopping and had put a bag of
clothes that she had just purchased down on a table to look at something else
on the table. She then went to pick up the bag and it was already gone. Stolen!
The bad part was she had put her mother’s car keys in the bag. The store didn’t
have security cameras but they did contact the mall security. Needless to say
Karen was upset because the keys had the Entry Fob and Remote Start on it. That
alone is very expensive but as the saying goes you learn by your mistakes.
Tomorrow we’ll try to get more things crossed off our lists.
Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Oh dear. I feel so badly for Kylla. I am sure she is so upset. Why are people so mean and uncaring? I hope the mall security can help find who did this.
ReplyDeleteThat is terrible. The insurance company should pay for the keys. At least a US co would.
ReplyDeleteWow, that bag was stolen right out from under poof Kylla's nose. How brazen! Thank heavens it wasn't her wallet in the bag.
ReplyDeleteHope the key fob replacement isn't too much of a hassle.
A hard lesson for Kylla to learn hope things work out.
