Running in Circles to Get Around.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Strangely enough neither Kathy nor I had any trouble falling to sleep last night. My problem was I couldn’t stay asleep. After only an hour of sleep I laid in bed until my back started to ache. I spent the next three hours on the computer before laying in bed awake for another hour before falling back to sleep. As soon as Kathy got out of bed just after 8:00 I was once again awake and raring to go. After breakfast we immediately went to the computers to catch up on what everyone else is doing.
Kylla putting groceries away she bought for supper.
Once my reading was complete I headed outside to put some tools from the tool boxes in the truck bed into the back seat. The weather forecast was calling for more rain this afternoon and I preferred going through those toolboxes while it was dry outside.
Getting ready to move the television.
By the time I returned to the apartment Kathy was just about to start prepping an early lunch. We once again used Bob’s microwave method of cooking corn on the cob to go with our cup of soup. It is amazing that by cutting the cob after it’s been cooked where the cob meets the stalk you can then squeeze it out of the husk in one piece totally clean.
I had to rewire behind the desk.
You can see where the coach was in the middle of the room.
It was shortly after 12:00 when we arrived at Karen’s house. Kylla was home and started asking what we were there to do because her mom had told her we were rearranging the furniture in the basement for her. I first needed to see what supplies Greg had in the garage because I needed to run a new cable connection for the television on the opposite side of the room. Once I had found those supplies I was able to start but I had a problem. For some reason I couldn’t find the wire stripper I had to prep the coaxial cable with.
Sanford wondering what we are doing.
Having no other choice I headed over to the Home Hardware Store and they didn’t have any. Next I went to Canada Salvage known to have anything you would need but not for me today. I stopped at Princess Auto in hopes that they would have one in their liquidation aisles with no luck. Even Home Depot didn’t carry such a tool.
Noah helped me to move the television.
At this point the truck’s low fuel level warning came on so I stopped to fill it up. Because we run an auxiliary fuel tank it has been nearly a month since I purchased fuel and we travelled to Welland and back on the same tank. We covered 997 miles averaging 11.5 m.p.g. buying our fuel by the liter in Canada it worked out to be $4.765 per gallon. Now you know why I prefer to fuel up in the United States. It is much cheaper.
Now to reconnect all the wires.
After fueling the truck I thought I’d look at Canadian Tire for the stripper I needed. They didn’t have it in the tool section or the electrical section but they had one in the audio section. If only I’d gone there first because now I’d wasted almost two hours.
Kylla cooking supper for us.
Back at Karen’s it didn’t take long to modify the cables the way I needed to. I was able to junction the new cable behind their computer desk and to replace the faceplate where the television had been. Kylla’s boyfriend Noah had stopped in to visit so I had him help me to put old towels under the television and slide it to the other side of the room.
Salad on the side, Coleslaw, Rice dish, Noodle dish and Grilled chicken.
A wonderful meal cooked completely by our granddaughter Kylla.
Kylla had been busy cooking supper for all of us. She grilled chicken on the barbecue, cooked a rice dish and a noodle dish plus she had coleslaw and a salad. She set the table beautifully and the food tasted great. Thank You Kylla for a wonderful meal.
Television in its new location.
Sanford's bed at the end of the couch.
Since Noah had left soon after the meal Kathy put the old towels under the sectional couch while I lifted it. It only took minutes to slide it all to the opposite side of the room making certain there was room for the chairs to recline.

By the time I picked up the tools and Kathy swept the floor Kylla had Face-Timed her mom Karen and showed her the room. Karen loved it and said it really opened up the room the way she wanted.

Tomorrow I’m not sure what we’ll be doing but we have a lot to get done. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  3. Rearranging looks good!

I have found having a "smart phone" finally is helpful when shopping. I look online to find which store would have the odd item I am looking for. Less wasting time and gas that way.

I have even called ahead to some places and asked that it be brought to the front counter in case I am short on time.... most places are more than happy to do that for a customer.
