Chores and Shopping.

Our Location today is Crystal River, Florida.

Last night shortly after posting our blog I really started to feel out of sorts where it felt like I had a chunk of cement or something in my stomach. After taking a Tylenol Flu tablet it wasn’t long before I was in bed and I’m sure that once Kathy had finished her blog reading she was right behind me. By 1:30 I was wide awake with increased pressure in my stomach so instead of laying on my already sore back from all the tossing and turning I just got up. Sitting at the computer I did some reading and then game playing in hopes of relieving the discomfort with mints and to get tired playing the games. It was 4:30 when I finally returned to bed where I slept in until 9:30 this morning. I wonder why?
Our neighbor Paul wearing a winter toque this afternoon. It was a damp 50 F.
For breakfast I only managed to eat a couple of spoons of oatmeal and I was stuffed. It took an hour to finish drinking by then cold coffee while continuing to read the morning blogs. Kathy at that point wasn’t having any ill effects which was good. For lunch we shared a Peanut Butter sandwich as neither of us were really hungry.
After lunch I reinstalled the rear bathroom toilet knowing this time it is going to work properly. I then figured fresh air would probably help I went out to remove the empty propane tank that ran out yesterday. Kathy came with me for a ride down to the BP station to get it refilled.
On our return to the trailer she asked me to unlock the outside kitchen so she could bring a few pops in which would help if either of us were sick. I reinstalled the propane tank and by the time I came back around the other side of the trailer Kathy was coming out with a dishpan of hot water. We had a problem. Last week when we had a hard freeze throughout the U.S. we had a can of pop freeze and simply split open. The last few nights have been below freezing in this area of Florida and when Kathy opened the fridge she found one exploded and two more expanded cans of pop.
Once that was cleaned we sat outside in the 50 F (10 C) temperatures just to be out in the sun. The sunshine itself was a pleasant change from the clouds we’ve been experiencing. Just sitting there attracted one of our neighbors to come over for a chat and of course the conversation turned to the weather that all our kids are getting back home.
Around 3:00 we left to do some shopping. Yesterday at Radio Shack we had inquired about remote control light switches. They didn’t carry them anymore but gave us a list of places that might. Our first stop was at Harbor Freight and as I walked in the door I simply asked an employee if the carried them. He told me the aisle and to my surprise they are sold in a three pack with a single controller which is what we were looking for.
The next stop we walked two doors over to Dollar General where I purchased some paintbrushes that I’ll need for some of my projects.
By now we were both starting to feel hungry and Kathy didn’t want fast food so we stopped at Chili’s. The atmosphere is always nice and Kathy was wearing her invisible “Talk to Me”sign and little Darnel took advantage of it. Kathy ordered a toasted Turkey sandwich while I ordered Burger Bites. They were both great tasting.

After leaving Chili’s we had one more stop to make. We have sewer hose cradles for our trailer that are falling apart as their flex points are a simple strip of plastic and are slowly breaking into short pieces rather than a continuous support. The other day I saw our neighbors sewer hose support with actual plastic hinges and I asked where he got them. You guessed it Walmart so when we leave Rock Crusher RV Park we’ll be leaving the old ones in the garbage and using our new ones in the future.

We’re expecting another cold night tonight so we’ll be staying cozy and warm. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
