Enjoyable Sunday Visiting on Saturday

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Kathy had another restless night spending more time looking at the ceiling than she did sleeping. Again I slept like a log and only woke up when I felt Kathy get up at 8:00 this morning. After having coffee and cereal for breakfast we went and read our E-mails and the morning blogs we follow. By 9:30 Kathy could barely keep her eyes open and after the third time that I suggested she lay down for a nap on the bed she finally did.

I continued reading off my PC even though it was slower than a one armed wallpaper hanger because my newer laptop would not update the blogs according to the latest person to post. It was literally stuck at where it was after I posted our blog last night. Kathy finally woke up just as I was finished having my morning shower and shave.

As we had our lunch Kathy suggested we go to the Arts and Craft show in Amherstburg for something to occupy our time. When we left the first thing we did was go to check our daughter Karen’s home making certain that they had shut all the lights and televisions off when they left for Pigeon Forge at 5:00 this morning. After being certain everything was good we took the slow leisurely route towards Amherstburg. Just as we were about to enter the town we saw roadside push-in signs advertising the art show for August 24th-25th not today. Talk about being anxious.

Oh well! We stopped in and visited with Melissa since we were nearby. Kevin had taken Matthew shopping for camping supplies as they’ll be going tent camping on Beausoleil Island for three nights. They will be leaving the same day we are on the 17th for a week. We spoke for about a half hour before heading off and making plans to pick up Melissa the day we do attend the Art Show on the 25th

From there we headed over to visit with our friends Sandy and Gerry Bronstein who have also travelled with us bringing their own fifth wheel trailer along. We talked back and forth of one another’s travels and things we’re doing around our apartment and them around their home. We even compared notes on extended out-of-province medical coverage. We talked of this changing world of computers we live in and how we try to make it all work for us. Before we knew it two hours had passed and it felt like we had just arrived.

On our way home we stopped at Sir Cedric’s in LaSalle for supper. Kathy had spotted their sign on the way to Amherstburg showing they were having a special for the month of August for a Halibut dinner with rolls and coleslaw for $5.99. You couldn’t beat the price and we weren’t hungry when we walked out.

Kathy said tonight that since we did our visiting today we’ll have to stay home tomorrow but aren’t all RVers plans written in Jello. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Krackers

A man and a giraffe walked into a bar. The man asked for a drink and one for the giraffe. They drank it and had another one, then another and another. The man got up and went to walk out, the giraffe tried to follow and fell over. The bar man said, "Don't leave that lying around here." The man said, "It's not a lion, it's a giraffe."
