Day of Rejections and Accomplishments.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Last night was the first night that I slept without my cushion that I’ve used to support where the incision is. I slept fairly comfortable only waking twice throughout the night but feeling strangely tired all day. I guess I’ll have to adjust my CPAP Mask because if it leaks too much air then I’m not breathing properly.
I was up around 8:00 this morning with Kathy right behind me as I entered the kitchen. I had planned a few things without telling Kathy so I told her that I was going to the blood donor clinic today. So after breakfast Kathy headed to her computer while I quickly showered and shaved.
When I arrived at the clinic the staff that knew Kathy and I have a trailer and often travel were asking why we weren’t travelling now. When I said the trailer was in for repairs while I’d had surgery the alarms went off. The duty nurse said it is customary for the donor to wait six to eight weeks after the surgery to give our bodies time to heal. If I had made the donation today my body would not heal itself as easily so I was told to come back in another month and I should be alright by then.
The Juno Satelite that will take five years to reach Jupiter.

On the way home I figured Kathy and I would go for a ride to visit with Ernie and Sheryl this afternoon but since I was near my friend Dave’s home I stopped for a short chat. I interrupted Dave’s chore of cutting the grass. We swapped stories of the places we had gone this last winter Kathy and I in Florida and Dave and his wife travelling in Texas with their trailer.
I arrived back at the apartment with the intention of telling Kathy about going for the afternoon visit but I was just walking in the door and she immediately told me Ernie had called saying they’d be out this afternoon. What is this? Was Ernie reading my mind because I’d kept this idea to myself. We’ll just have to try again soon.
Matthew, Kathy and Tyler ready for an Everglades Airboat ride.

Kathy came up with her own plan that after lunch we would go to the west end Walmart. The reason for that decision is that not all the stores carry the same products in stock. Another reason was that Kathy’s leg was bothering her this morning and that store is the smaller local store.
Standing stil he figures you won't see him.

After walking around and making a few purchases we were going to go to Canadian Tire for more shopping. Would you believe we never left the Walmart parking lot because we stopped at another store we hadn’t been in for some time. We managed to make a number of purchases eliminating the need to go anywhere else today.
Use your imagination. I came up with six different characters in the clouds.
Tonight Kathy informed me that with 172 days left we have over half of our Christmas shopping completed. I grilled a couple of Johnsonville Brats on the Weber Q while Kathy cooked up a nice Butternut Squash for supper. Since we didn’t get some things done today there is always tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Some days are more difficult than others - hopefully better days are ahead. Thinking of you and Kathy...
