A Productive Day for Kathy.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

When we went to bed last night the temperatures outside were still hot and humid so we still had the AC on in the apartment. So like the rest of the week we didn’t sleep all that great last night. This morning when we woke up the outside temperature was in the mid 50’sF (13C) and only hit 72F (22C) for a high today. The forecast for the rest of the week are temps only in the mid to upper 60’s with little to no humidity. Needless to say the AC has been off since this morning and the windows will be open until the next hot spell.
After making coffee and French Toast for breakfast Kathy and I headed for the computers to get caught up with the rest of the RV world. Reading some of our recent comments sometimes gives us a chuckle especially when it’s about the Redneck Jokes. Cheryl Cox from the blog Desert Diva stated she has used tape as an emergency way of repairing her hems. If we were to become a Redneck because of any single one of those jokes I would believe every RVer would qualify because many of us have had to make emergency repairs that would sound like one of the jokes. Looking back when most of us were growing up we’d all qualify but that is because times have changed and we call it progress.
After lunch Kathy started sorting through our pantry in the apartment. She managed to find a lot of outdated supplies that we promptly disposed of. Other things she found were partial jars of things that we had in the apartment and the trailer so that was cleaned up. Now she is very happy with her nicely organized pantry.
I headed outside to install the secondary license plate holder. I first had to modify the original bracket on the truck before attaching it. The end result is it looks okay but is too flimsy for my liking so it’s back to the drawing board. I also looked at the new mud flaps which are larger than the old ones. I’ll need to trim them but I have to wait until I check something tomorrow. My hernia stated flaring up again so I went in to help Kathy with her organizing.
For supper we got to try out our new pizza stone. We normally don’t eat as much pizza as we have been lately trying out the Weber Q. Tonight we used the stone for the first time and it took about twenty-five minutes to get up to the recommended temperature but it only took ten minutes to cook the pizza. The results were much better with the crust crisper and not burnt as without the stone. They say the third time is a charm so we’ll have to wait and see how that works out.
Jill Thomas from the blog jillgoes asked of the animals that were in last night’s blog post. Believe it or not all the animals and birds except for the prairie dog were in a reserve called Animal Safari in Missouri. It has been there for a number of years and if you look back at other pictures in our blogs of some small manmade waterfalls and streams that is in the same park. It was a well worth while tour.
Tomorrow’s another day so we’ll just have to see what comes up. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Doctor, doctor, I think I'm suffering from déjà vu.

Didn't I see you yesterday?

  1. My pantry in my townhome looks like the aftermath of a nuclear disaster. I guess I'd better put it on my list of "things to do." ;-)

Great photos from the St. Louis Botanical Gardens!
