Busy Free Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Last night we were in bed watching a movie until 12:30 which is passed our normal bedtime. The thought of sleeping in was a unanimous choice since there was not too much planned for the day. Kathy said this morning it took almost thirty minutes for her to fall asleep but then slept straight through until after 9:00. It must have been a good two minutes before I fell asleep but unlike Kathy was awake in bed around 2:00. I stayed there until 5:00 before getting up and reading the early morning blog posts. I finally returned to bed by 7:30 and the sun start to shine around 8:00 before I fell back to sleep until 9:30. I was tired when I got up but am wide awake as I write this post.
After a wonderful breakfast of French-Toast it was not long before we were out the door and headed back to the Tecumseh Mall. While we were at Pennington’s yesterday Kathy filled in a ballot for a draw each store was having for the next two days and she won yesterday’s grand prize. We figured with this being a Sunday the stores would not open until 11:00 so we were there by half past. That was good because we still had another half hour to wait because they didn’t open until noon.
Kathy’s prize was dress pants, any fashionable top she wanted, a shrug (vest sweater type over top), undergarments top and bottom as well as sleep-wear type nightgown. It took her almost two hours to find what fit and looked good on her. The value of her win registered out at over two hundred dollars. She said it was like a free shopping spree.
We had a late lunch at the food court A&W in the mall using a two can dine for ten dollars coupon. This also gave us a chance to do some people watching which is one of our favorite pastimes.
By the time we got home Kathy wanted to finish the Christmas wrapping she didn’t get done last night. Suddenly she realized with only 71 days away there was a bag missing. After the gifts are wrapped we put them in decorative bags making it much more organized for the big day.
Back out the door we headed thinking the Dollar store would close by 5:00. Instead we had an extra hour to ourselves because it was open until 6:00. In order not to waste our time we headed to the Michigan Roadhouse and had supper. Because their meals are always so big we ordered off the seniors menu and still waddled out.
We stopped for our Sunday night visit at our daughter Karen’s. Life is still as hectic with work, kids schooling and Tyler’s hockey. Boy are Kathy and I ever glad that we’re out of that rat race and retired. Thanks for following and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
