Winning Day

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Sleeping in is starting to feel like a bad habit. Then we remember that we’re retired and start thinking how nice it is to sleep in.
Once breakfast was finished and we were sitting at the computers the first thing I did was call our RV dealer. I was told that the fridge was ordered yesterday afternoon and Ed told me he sent me an E-mail verifying it. Quickly looking at my E-mail nothing had come from him so I had him check my address. Sure enough there was the old address I had before our carrier shut our old addresses on us. I had already given the new ones to the dealer but they seem to constantly use the old one.
Once that was straightened around Kathy and I talked of continuing our search for Christmas Gifts since it is only 72 days away. She had ideas of going to different stores so I made the suggestion of heading over to the Tecumseh Mall since there were all kinds of stores at the one location. That was an easy choice so as soon as we finished our lunch we headed out.
The weather was supposed to be rainy all day so heading to the mall where we could walk in comfort was an added bonus. Going from store to store we slowly started scratching names off our list as we managed to finish shopping for all the children and grandchildren today.
We even met Anne Mc Learie a neighbor from our old neighborhood. She was there with her Sister-in-law and her husband that were visiting from Scotland. It was a pleasant visit and we hear that John was at home because his legs have been bothering him. We also found out that Anne and John will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in November. As we parted ways Anne invited Kathy and I over to visit at their home.
One of the stores we stopped in to look at was Pennington’s they were running a drawing with a winner for the next two days and all you needed to do was fill in the ballot. Since this is one of Kathy’s favorite stores for clothes she entered the contest.
By the time we got back to our apartment it was past 4:00 and we were feeling a bit tired and hungry from all the walking we had done. Upon entering the door we could see the light on our phone flashing indicating a message was waiting to be heard. When Kathy checked it out it was Pennington’s calling to say she had won today’s drawing of an entire outfit.
That was plenty of excitement for one day. We’ll be going back to Pennington’s to collect Kathy’s prize tomorrow since it will still be raining. There is bound to be another adventure awaiting us. Thanks for following and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
