Big Cool Down.

Our Location Today is Frankenmuth, Michigan, U.S.A.

We are definitely getting used to sleeping in. Again today we didn’t start breakfast until 8:30. The plan was to head over to the hardware store to get the proper sized screws to hold the new L.E.D. television on the mounting bracket.
In the entire town of Frankenmuth we could only find the one hardware store. After driving by and not seeing the entrance to their parking lot we travelled around the block to find it.  This seemed to be a garage built between two houses thus creating the hardware store. Once inside the challenge was to find the hardware section. It was like a maze going through corridor after corridor. Finally finding the nuts and bolts section you found Standard at one spot and Metric across the aisle and further down the row. At the cash register we chuckled at the total cost of $.63 for such a grand adventure.
We headed back across town to Meijer for something we had forgotten to buy yesterday in our haste after getting such a good deal on the television. Kathy also picked up a few food stocks that she had forgotten. We didn’t see the derelict RV today but the parking lot at Meijer’s was full of RVs.
After lunch I attempted to install the new television only to find the bracket needed to be modified. The plugs on the rear of the television were not at the same place as the old one so I had to use the hacksaw to notch the corner of the bracket to make it all fit.
I continued working outside for a short while adding screen covers to our fridge vents to keep the bugs out. Next I prepped the truck for towing the trailer as tomorrow we’ll be heading back to the RV dealer to actually get some warranty work done on the trailer.
After barbecuing some hamburgers we ate supper and relaxed watching the local news. Since we pulled in on Friday we haven’t used the pool because the park was so crowded or there was a threat of a severe thunderstorm which we did get. So tonight Kathy and I decided to enjoy this nice heated pool.
The pool was definitely warmer than the iceberg that the water came from. It was so cold that within minutes my ankles started to ache from the cold. When Kathy and I had walked in to the pool building we thought it strange that everyone was in the hot-tub and nobody in the pool. We joined them after getting enough strength to get out of the pool. When we headed back to the trailer we were enjoying the warm 75 degree weather. What else would you expect when there is only 141 days before Christmas.
Thanks for following our adventures. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Krackers

Why do hairdressers always arrive at work early?

Because they know all the shortcuts.

  1. One of these days I will get to Frankenmuth. I had written out a detailed trip to Michigan, but family illnesses got in the way and we were unable to make that trip at the time. Hopefully it will happen before too long.
