Another Weekend Adventure Begins.

Our Location Today is Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.

It seems to be something that always haunts Kathy and I the inability to get a decent night’s sleep the night before we hit the road. Last night was no different than the rest and there is no excuse for it. We just continue to wake throughout the night thinking of unimportant gibberish for no reason and we’d never care to think about this during our wake filled day. Of course we seem to be able to sense that the alarm has been set for an earlier hour than normal. Yes the alarm had been set for 7:00 a.m. because we needed to pick our grandsons Matthew and Tyler up by 9:30 and we had a lot to do. After breakfast Kathy did the dishes while I packed our CPAP machines for the trip. By 8:00 we had loaded the truck in the rain and were heading to Guardian Storage Yard to pick up the trailer.
By 8:30 we were leaving the storage yard with the trailer packed and fridge filled. By 8:45 we were parking in front of our daughter Karen’s house to pick up the boys. Fortunately for Kathy and I our daughter-in-law Melissa had an early appointment in Windsor and offered to drive Matthew to Karen’s house. After hugs and kisses from the moms and aunts we were on our way by 9:30.
That may sound like precision planning but it wasn’t. The only thing planned was the time we set the alarm for and what time we were picking the boys up at. Other than a single bathroom break that everyone needed we were stopping for lunch at the Flying J outside of London by 11:30 and back on the road an hour later in the rain & at times it was very heavy. Another short break in the afternoon and we were pulling in to the Niagara Falls K.O.A. by 2:30 and the sun started to shine. Hoorah!!!!!
After changing the site that we were originally given because our trailer alone was too long it took some playing to wiggle it in to the next spot. After a brief rest we finished the setup and had a great supper of hotdogs, corn, chips and fruit  & we made use of the indoor pool. That was refreshing. After returning to the trailer to change their clothes Matthew and Tyler went back to the camp playground for another hour of playtime on the giant pillow while I struggled with more rotten WiFi. I definitely need to do something about that. The boys are anxious for tomorrow.
Tomorrow we’ll be up around 8:30 because it will be a busy day of historic 1812 re-enactments taking place. Besides that also means that it is only 137 days until Christmas. Thanks for following our adventures. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
