Feeling much better/very busy prepping!

Our Location Today is Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada.

Hi Everyone:
This is Kathy blogging again today!

Well Rick is feeling much better now and is slowly trying to get things done for our Sunday June 3rd trip.
We are terribly behind because of all of our personal health problems.  My toe, his heat stroke, his absessed tooth, and Mother Nature's  bad weather etc.  All those things in life that just happen to come up of course at all the wrong times; but is there ever a right time for stuff like that?  Such is the cycle of  life so we are trying our best to work with it.

We have to get quite a few very important things done before we can leave.  Our license for the truck is due tomarrow and we have to get that and do some banking and take care of some insurance issues left over from last year, which is another story.

We are getting a good thunderstorm this afternoon with lightening and thunder. I hope that clears up as we have to do those errands today. Our daughter wants us to come over and help Greg set some deck posts which isn't too strenuous for Richard to do, just hold them steady and make sure they are level. If the rain stops and it's not too wet that is. It isn't any fun working in a mud hole.

Nothing too much exciting except laundry and prepping for this trip, running last minute errands and recuperating.

I think this will probably be the last time I post for Rick as he should be taking over tomarrow, tonight whenever he feels he has something to say. He is now off the pain pills and just on his antibiotics for awhile yet so he is not so fuzzy headed.  Just thought I would keep you updated.

I don't know much about this posting stuff but I got it to work just the same. I don't think I would attempt posting pictures just yet maybe down the road.

Thanks for sending your thoughts and messages.
We are looking forward to being on the road soon as It's about time.

  1. Good luck with the weather and final details, it will all come together. The one thing about this lifestyle is we make plans but they always change, we are always flexible. Just like two weeks ago we packed up and left 15 minutes down the road we got a phone call and back home for a few weeks until ?

  3. Having just returned from a major trip a week ago (Jamaica) I know how you feel right now with all the details and chores of preparing just swirling around in your head. It will all come together for you I hope. I hope you have some smooth days ahead so you can easily finish your preparations.

  4. Kathy, thanks for filling in and keeping the blog going, but it might have been more fun for Rick to post while taking the fuzzy headed pills. Glad you're feeling better Rick.
