After making certain not to take any medications that would affect my ability make my mark as a Blood DonorI feel relieved. I may not be able to go out and save the world, but I might be responsible for saving a few lives here and there. The problem that following that rule caused me personally was the inability to get a decent night’s sleep. Going according to the rule that I knew held the most weight, I stopped taking my nighttime medications on Saturday which was an entire Half Day ahead of schedule. That meant bit by bit sleeping was becoming harder until last night it was nearly impossible with me having to move between my Recliner and Bed. Even Kathy did not feel like holding hands and was doing some Tossing around of her own.

Getting up minutes before 8:00, I thought that I could get a headstart on getting our breakfast snack ready before waking Kathy, but by the time it was being served I found Kathy already dressed to go out and the Bed freshly made. After eating she had the chance to look on her Computer, while I took me shower. I finished my Coffee once that was finished.

We didn’t need to rush, so instead of taking the Parkway to the Expressway, we took the scenic route along Riverside Drive before heading south on Howard. For the first time in a while, we saw Three Ships all heading northbound in that short stretch.

Arriving at the Canadian Blood Services building Kathy immediately followed me inside since the Humidex at that time was already 88 F (31 C). I would later find out that she had brought her book to read, but forgot to bring her Reading Glasses. Ed the volunteer found her a pair of Cheaters to use.

During my normal interview, I explained to Ashley how I had not used those certain Medications, just so I could donate today. After she typed in the name of the Medication, she told me it had been removed from the Restricted List in 2019. I’ll be taking it tonight. The place was packed when we walked in, but by the time we were leaving there were only a handful of the lounges in use. Today brought my number up to 165 Donations.

Just walking out to the Car was bothering Kathy so we stopped at the nearby Pita Pit for a Healthy Fast Food lunch. Our timing was perfect with only a single person ahead of us when we arrived, the moment we sat down to eat, the line was out the door.

Instead of heading straight home, we decided to stop at Guardian Storage to collect our Mail. We mange to drive within a Thousand Feet of the location before coming to a stop. For Five Minutes nothing was happening before a line of approaching traffic went by. Another Five Minutes passed before we were on our way. This is a stretch of road that we have complained about many times and today it was Half torn up and the other Half had fresh Pavement on it. After collecting the Mail, we drove through the Storage Yard just on time to follow the last of the traffic heading the same way we were.

Kathy was not doing well with the Heat, so when I stopped at the front entrance, she immediately got out. When I got upstairs, I took our Recycle outside to the freshly emptied Bins.

While we were watching the “6 o’clock Local News”, we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza that I added extra Pineapple and Mozzarella Cheese to. We later watched Three Programs on the History Channel before Kathy headed to Bed. I have Two appointments tomorrow before we finish the week with a single appointment for Kathy. Looking at the bright side, we have more Rain heading our way. I can hear everyone who had Flood Damage cheering now. Oh, that’s not cheering.
