Doing What We Have To.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

After having a couple of good night’s sleep it was no surprise that last night I would spend most of the night staring at the ceiling. Considering that Kathy had a rough night on Wednesday she apparently slept like a rock. Today would prove to be a well appreciated day as the sun made certain that it was in full view the entire day.

After breakfast we did our usual online reading before each doing our own chores this morning. Kathy had number of book-keeping entrees to make in our expense spreadsheet. I worked on our medications. It seems most manufactures use standard sized containers but most of the time there are hardly any tablets in them. I chose to eliminate a lot of the over packaging by filling the vitamin bottles full and recycling the empties. That works out the same as wasted space in an RV so I simply eliminate the wasted space.

After lunch we went to Walmart where Kathy had to return a winter nightgown that she had purchased the other day. Normally she never buys any clothing without first trying it on but since it was just a nightgown she didn’t try it until she got home. After making the return we went back to find two other gowns marked smaller that she tried on to find they were larger than the other. We also picked up a few groceries before heading back to the apartment.

It was nearly 3:00 when we got home so while Kathy put away the groceries I started sorting the laundry. I hoped to do our wash before the non-retired tenants of the building got home from work. I lucked out getting our wash started and went back to the apartment to do further research (Plan B) about Pure Sine Inverters. This didn’t take long at all and I even found another electronics supplier called RV Power Parts Plus in Florida so I added them to Commercial Links For RVers at the bottom of our post. The only problem is they don’t sell solar panels.

I arrived back downstairs just on time to see the washers shut down. Ten minutes later I was upstairs turning on our Weber Q on the balcony. Our outside temperature here today hit the mid-50’s so Kathy had me grill a couple of nice steaks while she sautéed some spinach for a side. By the time we finished our tasty meal I still had to wait for the dryers to finish their cycles.

I managed to fold all the clothes and be back to the apartment just as the 6 o’clock News was starting. We won’t see as much of the sun tomorrow and it is supposed to rain early but our temperature could reach 60 before it starts sliding back to normal for this time of year. We’ll keep our fingers crossed so we can scratch a few more things off our to-do list. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. We have used a regular 1200 watt modified sine wave inverter from Canadian tire for 9 years now, works our TV, satellite receiver, computers, I-phone, I-pad, Track fone, MIFI, battery chargers no problem and the smaller 300 watt one in our car for the phones and computer when we are in the car.
