Got Those Wheels Rolling.

Our Location today is Moore Haven, Florida, U.S.A.

Something very strange happened last night that has never happened to us before. We went to bed after watching the 11 o’clock News and we never woke up until almost 7:00 this morning. The good thing is that we weren’t awake every fifteen to thirty minutes that we were in bed because it was a pretravel night. The problem is that we had set the alarm for 6:00 so we could get on the road early and it never went off.

After getting up late we still managed to be on the road before 9:00 this morning. Our intended destination was the Glades RV and Golf Resort between La Belle and Moore Haven Florida. Unfortunately we had to make a few stops along the way. The first stop was the Old Town hardware store to purchase additional “O” rings that we found the other day. Not knowing if the first one we bought would work we only bought one. Now that we know from experience that it will do the job we went and picked up extras.

Back on the road we traveled for well over an hour on Highway 19 heading south before arriving at Harbor Freight in Crystal River. I needed to replace the carbide burr for my rotary tool and buy a cargo rack for the rear of the trailer. We used that time to stretch our legs a bit before continuing on to the nearby Walmart fifteen miles away. We picked up a few more food stocks to fill our fridge and a few toiletries that you can only find in southern Florida. Since it was nearing 12:00 noon Kathy picked up a couple of melted cheese combos from Dunkin Donuts to help carry us through.
Even this stretch of construction didn't slow us down.
This northbound traffic reminded us of last week.
If you remember the traffic tie ups we were in last Friday well it seemed like somebody was watching over us today. We only experienced a few interchange slow-downs but not like last week. As a matter of fact we were watching the parking lot on the northbound traffic side of the highway that stretched for well over twenty miles.
Interesting what you see from the road.

Some things you don't want to see.
We made a pit stop around 2:30 where we managed to fuel the truck, stretch our legs and get a two-for-one special at the golden arches all within twenty minutes before getting back on the highway. We arrived at Glades RV and Golf Resort office by 4:15 and were backing into our site by 4:30. We did experience a slight delay as when we had left Yellow Jacket RV Park this morning with 55 F (13 C) temperatures only to arrive this evening to 86 F (30 C). We had to change into cooler clothes before we could set up.

Around 7:00 we walked over to Rick and Elaine’s site to say we’re here and see their new trailer. We spent the next hour and a half doing a quick catch up before heading back to our trailer for the night. We’ll have the rest of the month to get caught up with them and visiting with Tucker and Lily.

After only driving 312.6 miles today we are looking forward to getting some relaxation time in starting tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Office Jokes, Quotes, and Anecdotes

It used to be that the American office employee who came to work late had no way to kill time on the job before leaving early for lunch. Then someone invented the coffee break, and the problem was solved.
