Adjusting to Standard Time.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Since it was the end to Daylight Savings Time last night we simply waited a little while longer before going to bed. I was still up just before 8:00 EST and Kathy shortly after. Looking outside at the cars in the parking lot we could see the remains of frost on the windshields facing the building. Yes we adjusted our clocks and had frost on the same night.

We spent most of the morning on the computers where after doing her reading Kathy once again started researching things to see and do on our return trip from Florida next April. She commented how she thought that she could relax because she had everything all planned and then we had a bargain we couldn’t refuse which got her busy with plans once again. Any fulltime and many Part-timer RVers will tell you their plans are Flexible and that was what our plans had been until last week. So with an added stop we’ll just change our direction of travel for the return trip. Myself I realized that there was still one of my files that I had not kept up to date since the beginning of September. By the time I finished updating my spreadsheet it was time to help Kathy make lunch.

Since our stomachs were telling us we were late for our meal we deliberately delayed it by only a half hour. For lunch we had Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup and a Salad. Tomorrow we should be back on our eating schedule without too many adverse effects.

Once lunch was over I retrieved a luggage strap that I had stored in a container from the trunk of the car. It had been originally stored in the basement of the trailer but when I sorted all its contents earlier this summer I had stored the extra container in the car’s trunk. The strap was then applied around the collapsible duffle bag that we bought yesterday and want to keep in the trailer. This will stop it from opening when it shouldn’t and keep it in its place.

Kathy was feeling the effects of the time change this afternoon so she went to take a Snap in the living room. While she was doing that I busied myself getting in the workout that I missed yesterday. I raised the amount of weight that I am using so that meant I had to reduce my reps and sets until I build back up to them. That shortened the length of my workout for the time being.

For supper time Kathy kept me busy chopping vegetables while she put together a great Asian style pork stir fry. It was delicious and all we need to do is cook more rice and we will have enough for another meal tomorrow. It was not fun starting our meal with the sun brightly shining and by the time we were finishing our tea it was dark outside.

The weather is supposed to improve for the next few days before it really starts to cool down. That is making us wish it was much less than the 54 days before we head south for the winter. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. I hate how early it gets dark. I am not in favor of this change at all!

  2. We just get up earlier in the day, and have supper earlier too, so our body clocks don't change right now. Once we get out west a three hour time difference.

  3. I am happy it gets light earlier. Very disorienting to wake up at six and have it dark. Two days ago my husband had to drive our son to school in the dark!
