Rainy Day Adventures.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Once again Kathy was up and about before I woke up this morning. It must be all that fresh air that she’s breathing throughout the night just giving her more energy than she’s used to.

Looking out the balcony door while having breakfast was a little unnerving seeing the dark clouds that filled the sky. The wind that was blowing through the open windows with such a force that it was causing them to rattle. Looking at the Weather Channel while eating our breakfast showed the severity of the rain storm heading our way. We thought it would be a wise choice to close the windows so we wouldn’t be mopping up a mess.

We had no sooner closed the windows when it looked like someone was shooting a hose directly at them. For the next three hours if the rain wasn’t hitting against the windows the wind was rattling them like drums. Shortly after lunch when the rain turned to a drizzle we donned our raincoats to go do some shopping.

Our first stop was the dollar store in hopes of finding some clear storage containers so Kathy could rearrange the storage room. Not finding what we needed we went to Walmart where we found what we wanted at a higher price than we’d hoped to pay at the dollar store.

Our next stop was Home Depot where we purchased another storage shelf to replace a storage cart in the storage room. (Try saying that fast!) A quick stop at Value Village where Kathy found two books she has been looking for. Unfortunately they didn’t have them in Paperback so she had to settle for Hard-covered that cost her $5.99 each.

Just as we were arriving at the Zehr’s grocery store the rain started teaming again so I got Kathy really close to the door before she headed in. By the time I parked the rain was once again down to a drizzle. We were in the store for nearly an hour getting everything we needed and taking advantage of a few things on sale to carry us through until we leave in 84 days. As we approached the cashier you could hear the rain hitting the roof with sever intensity but ten minutes later when we walked out it was no longer raining.

It took nearly as long to put the groceries away back at the apartment than it did to shop for them. Afterwards I assemble Kathy’s new shelf which helped her to better organize the storage room. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
