Slow Progress.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Yes we slept much better last night with the fresh air streaming through the open windows. I also used the prescribed ear drops and woke up feeling less pressure in my ear and I could even hear from it. I’ll continue doing the treatment at night for the rest of the week.

For breakfast Kathy added blackberries that she bought yesterday to our cereal adding not only flavor but nutrition as well. That was a good thing because I was going to need all the energy I could use today. We did take a few minutes to look over the morning blogs we follow before heading out the door.

Since we all know this is construction season the normal five minute drive to our daughter Karen’s home only took us fifteen minutes. The town of Tecumseh dug up the entire intersection on Tecumseh road not even two hundred feet from our driveway to work on the primary water main in town. This means we have to go in the opposite direction so we could go take a parallel road to go to her house.

This morning I was helping Greg to put up the chain link fencing on the posts that I had put up on the berm over a week ago. Neither of us had ever done this kind of thing before but by looking at how other neighbors had installed their fence we started figuring it out. At times it was almost comical watching us but we finally got half of the fence and gate hung up before being called to a late lunch just before 1:00.

Karen and Kathy had been busy running errands before they started making up lunch of hamburgers and macaroni salad with asparagus for a side. Unfortunately after lunch Greg had to get ready to go to work on the afternoon shift so we went back and cleaned up the tools for the day. Kathy and I also bade our good byes as we had a few errands to run.

By the time we got back to the apartment Kathy was once again feeling the effects of getting up early this morning so she reclined in the living room for a Snap (short nap). I took the time to call Greg Moorman the Area Manager for Verizon in Florida to see what was happening to resolve the problem we have been having over our MiFi. According to him the problem was resolved yesterday and we should see the adjustment to our account in the next few days. For his sake I hope he is right or I’ll be going to the Better Business Bureau of Florida next.

For supper I grilled some Hungarian Hulka that our friends Bill and Vera had given us on the Weber while Kathy made a wonderful salad with cheese on it. Kathy unfortunately got a surprise when she found the cheese that she used had Habanero peppers in it. We used the Hulka to make sandwiches so that we’d have leftovers for another day.

The weather was beautiful today but that will all change overnight so we’ll be turning on the AC before going to bed. In the morning we’ll be up early again as we have an early appointment in Amherstburg. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
