Our Location Today is Thermopolis, Wyoming, U.S.A.
This is a lifestyle that could easily become habit forming. As quoting Kathy Eat, Sleep and Swim. Definitely tough when you might have to empty the waste tanks, take out the garbage, go for groceries, do the dishes or take a shower. It is so tough but someone has to do it.
The only bad thing I am finding is the poor WiFi connection that takes forever to find and will often times drop the connection in the middle of an upload. Saturday’s post took me over two hours to publish because I was disconnected twelve times. Because I was outside of the park laundry room I was able to watch everyone else enjoying the pool from a distance but could not go in.
After lunch it was decided we’d go for groceries because it was Saturday and many of these small towns roll up the sidewalks on Saturday nights so we thought we’d play it safe.
The ride into Thermopolis was uneventful. The local IGA was busy but not overly crowded. Bill and I left Kathy and Vera do the shopping as they were meal planning as they shopped. I occupied Bill by finding an RV Magazine with articles showing the multiple uses of Toy-Hauler Trailers.
Now that we were on our way back to camp things started getting interesting. With the country-side being so dry from the lack of rain there was a deer wandering through the streets of Thermopolis cleaning the untrimmed grasses along the town streets. It seemed the locals were quite used to this happening as they simply slowed slightly and gave the deer room to move. Even the deer seemed very much at ease with the few pedestrians and vehicles that were around.
The second highlight was being able to see a few Buffalo by the front fence of the National Park. The other day the ones we did see were too far away to get a good picture. Even so all we had brought with us was the point and shoot so the close-ups were hard to get.
After a beautiful supper of Walleye Salmon done on the grill we had to suffer again by soaking in the pool. After our return showers it didn’t take long for everyone take make use of the pillows for the rest of the night.
