Winding Down Hot Springs

Our Location Today is Thermopolis, Wyoming, U.S.A.

It was a big surprise on Sunday morning when it only took an hour to upload the blog. I thought that with all the weekend warriors it would have been impossible to post at all. While I was waiting for the picture uploads to take place I got to listen to Reverend Bill sing a Country Western version of a Sunday Morning Religious Celebration. It was quite a unique experience to hear preaching in this fashion while many people were standing in the warmth of the pool and they didn’t even pass a collection plate around.
Once the post had been published it did not take long for me to pack up and get back to the trailer. Once I had changed into my swimsuit I was able to join Kathy, Bill and Vera for a cool dip in the pool for the first morning this week. Did you notice in the first paragraph I said the warmth of the pool and now I said a cool dip in the pool. Saturday night we had quite an intense wind storm blow through this region. It was so intense it actually cooled the temperature of the cool end from 90 F (32 C) down to 70 F (21 C). The warm end of the pool dropped from 104 F (40 C) down to 86 F (30 C). It still felt good!
By noon the gang was getting hungry so we headed back to the trailer. While I barbecued hotdogs for lunch outside Kathy was prepping side dishes inside. Still wearing our wet swimsuits we lowered the awning to enjoy another outdoor picnic lunch cooled by a gentle breeze. By the time lunch was finished Kathy and Vera went inside to wash the dishes while Bill and I restocked the outside refridgerator with soda cans and water bottles. Then we reorganized and loaded the basement getting ready for our Monday morning departure.
I continued to do minor adjustments around the trailer while the rest of the gang recovered from the morning’s activities by having an afternoon nap. With the outside temperature at 97 F (36 C) it was a wise choice for them.
Since it was Sunday and so hot Bill and Vera suggested going out for supper at the Safari Club. So for the second time this week we enjoyed that fine dining establishment but even with all the delicious food there still was only one way to close off the day. Back at the trailer for a refreshing dip in the Fountain of Youth Hot Springs Mineral Pool.
Thanks for following our adventures. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
