Taking Care Of Business, Errands and Special.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

After another good night’s sleep we were both up shortly after 8:00 this morning. I managed to actually see the Sun as it rose before slipping behind a wall of Clouds. The next time it would be seen would be as it was slipping from behind the Clouds as it set this evening.

We took care of business On-Line this morning along with working together to check what food stocks we were running low on and making our List.

With the temperatures staying low throughout the day we needed something for lunch that would leave us Satisfied but not Stuffed. We chose to have Macaroni and Cheese along with Orange Slices and Apple Sauce Cups for dessert.

It wasn’t long after cleaning things up that we headed out for more errands. Our first stop was Shoppers Drug Mart. With today being Thursday as Seniors we were able to save Twenty Percent off our purchase of Vitamins and Tooth Pastes.

Our next stop was the Pioneer gas station to top up the Car. We’ve ran a number of errands lately so we can safely say we are getting between Three to Four Weeks to a tank of Gasoline. The prices have again gone up due to the cost of Oil itself going up. That put the cost to $.989 per Litre which would be about $3.80 a US Gallon.

Needing food supplies we stopped at Dollarama. We slowly walked all the aisles even though all our purchases were food related. A bit of extra walking exercise along with additional cost savings.

We then needed to go to Zehr’s grocery store for those particular products only available there. It was helpful that we didn’t need any meats but again took advantage of walking the aisles for exercise. The Soups we like to purchase were all reasonably priced today.

It was already past 4:30 when we loaded the Car with all our purchases and we knew it would be close to an Hour before we’d be able to make supper. We headed to Wendy’s where we both had Chicken Wraps, Small Chocolate Frosties along with Seniors Soft Drinks for less the Ten Dollars.

With others bringing in their own supplies we used a Shopping Cart to bring everything from the Car to our Apartment. We had most of our supplies put away before I brought the Cart back downstairs but I cheated. I also brought our Recycle Containers to empty in the outdoor Bins that the tenants of the building use.

Nova and Sanford.

We finally got back to the Computers and were happy to see the response to how big Nova has gotten in only Five Months. Even our daughter Karen gave some information that might amaze some of our Followers. Sanford has been used to help train other dogs on how to behave and is doing the same with Nova.

We later watched a Special on CNN. It was the first joint interview with the President-Elect Biden and Vise-President Elect Harris outlining what they are planning to do following their Inauguration in January. I found it quite enlightening in comparison to what has happened over the last Four Years.

With more local Coronavirus Cases in our area we are not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. It was a good day to take care of business. No weather issues to be concerned about and nice to get stocked up on things.
Love the dog picture and that Stanford is training!

  2. Trouble is they never do what they say. Promises never kept. I'm surprised with all the virus cases in your area that you are allowed outside. Didn't they just shut everything down again? Stay safe.

  3. We don't waste our time watching anything that any of them have to say...they're all liars. Sanford and Nova are just adorable.

  4. Maybe we could borrow Sanford to teach our doxies a few things as he seems to be so very calm and relaxed. Isn't it nice that most of the snow has disappeared and the roads were dry for traveling.

  5. My, you were both busy! While your gasoline prices are high I have to keep in mind that at least it pays for your free health system something we do not have here.

I found the CNN interview with President-Elect Biden and Vice-President Elect Harris refreshing as well. They have a plan and they do not lie to the nation.
