Good Sleep, Christmas Plans, Browser History Cleaned and Visiting The Storage Yard.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

That was such a treat sleeping soundly last night. It had been so long since the last time that happened that it was almost shocking. I slept so soundly that it was nearly 9:00 before I sat at my Computer for the first time.

Looking outside didn’t look any different then the past few days as for the Cloud Cover. About Mid-Morning we had a surprise visitor that we truly appreciated. As soon as it appeared through the Clouds our Indoor Plants practically raised their branches in the direction of the Balcony Door. Even with the temperature being well below the Freezing Mark outside you could feel the warmth coming through the glass.

Kathy corresponded with our daughter Karen this morning. We’ve been invited to join them for Christmas Dinner next Friday. Amazing how time is flying by.

I was struggling to read Blogs this morning. Finally I found where to clear the Browser History on Google Chrome. It took less then Ten Minutes and after restarting the Computer it’s as fast as when it was new.

We had Split Pea with Ham Soup for lunch along with a couple of Cookies and an Applesauce Cup for dessert.

We headed out shortly after 1:00. Our destination was the Storage Yard but as we approached the Railway Crossing before Rhodes Drive the gates were down and there was a Police Car with its lights flashing parked across the road stopping any traffic from crossing the tracks. We simply made a U-turn back to the Expressway. We exited at Central Avenue and eventually arrived at Guardian Storage.

Wanting to check the Mail first we stopped at the Office that was sparsely lit. The Note in the Door said they are working remotely but if you had questions just to call the Office. They also listed the Holidays that they would not be available for calls. Using the Keypad I was able to empty our Mailbox that had collected a lot of Mail over a week.

We drove back to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit where another sign on the Door said that due to the possibility of Coronavirus being in the building you would be entering at your own risk. Upon entering the strong smell of Disinfectant filled the air. It actually looked like a mist was on most surfaces. I returned one Box and retrieved the Backpack filled with our larger Cameras.

We drove past the Trailer making certain that all was well. There was nothing covering the Solar Panels that were keeping our Batteries fully charged. As we left by going out the Truck Gate. Traffic stopped at the Railway Crossing would soon be blocking that exit. Knowing there was a problem we simply returned to Central Avenue then the Expressway.

We headed over to Dollarama where we made a dent on our Shopping List. They were limiting the number of customers in the store, not only posting but making certain everyone was wearing a Mask and they were disinfecting the Shopping Carts after every use.

Back at the Apartment it did not take long to put things away. After 5:00 we heated up some Precooked Pulled Pork from Lou’s Kitchen for supper. Serving it on a Hamburger Bun was satisfying enough that we have more for another meal. We had Applesauce for dessert.

The 6 o’clock Local News verified that we hit the Freezing Mark for today’s high temperature. We should see a few days above that which should make the ground green again. The Coronavirus Cases continues to rise everywhere but we lost an additional Three Seniors in Local Nursing Homes today. The Good News is the Vaccine should be available to every Canadian who wants it by the end of next Summer.

Still haven’t reached my aunt yet so since tomorrow is Saturday I’ll be calling my cousin. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Krackers

My friend told me he had the body of a Greek god.

I had to tell him that Buddha was not Greek.

  1. That will be nice for you both to share Christmas dinner with your daughter and family. BC residents are not allowed to get together for Christmas, we can only be with those people that live in the same house.

  5. I'm so happy the numbers are bottoming out in our county again. There was quite a large outbreak in one of our area Mennonite colonies. Fortunately they quarantined the whole community and got it dealt with quickly. I think there is a health care worker in a nearby town in isolation, but no hospitalizations.
