Kathy and I had already discussed what we would be doing today before going to bed last night. When I woke just before 8:00 this morning something just seemed strange so I immediately when on the prowl. There was nothing inside the apartment out of place so that meant I’d have to look outside. The Sun was hidden behind a wall of Clouds but yet everything appeared bright. That’s when I looked down at the parking lot and neighbouring rooftops to see everything starting to turn White.
It wasn’t long before Kathy was joining me and we had breakfast only to finish our Coffee/Tea at the Computers. I barely had time to read some of the Blogs we follow when I stopped to get my regular morning chores done. With that complete I was soon digging in the Storage Room to gather the Cleaning Supplies that I needed.

Since the Desk is located on the Ceramic Tiles that lead through the apartment it had to be moved so those Tiles could have their Grout cleaned. Kathy had cleaned the Tile in the Bathroom, and the Kitchen out towards the Dining Room. I had pitched in and cleaned the Hallway from our Door to the Living Room. Today we planned to complete the job.

Before Kathy could return to the Living Room I was already moving our Desk away from the wall so that I could get started. One thing that I made certain was not to unplug our Modem. The last time I did that we lost our Internet Connection and had to go to the local outlet at the Devonshire Mall to get the Modem replaced.
The Wires are still connected to the Modem behind the Desk.
You can see the Cleaner on the Tiles where the Desk will sit.
Even though the Wires were still connected from the Desk to the Wall I simply worked from both ends of the Desk to reach all the GroutThat was when the Sun made its Twenty Minute appearance for the day. When behind the Desk was finished Kathy had me stop for lunch. She made us Mixed Berry covered Waffles with Berry Berry Tea as a refreshment. It was all delicious.

While she cleaned up the Dishes I started applying the Toilet Bowl Cleaner on the Tiles from the Storage Room past the Bathroom, past the Bedroom all the way to the edge of the Kitchen. I had barely finished that when it was time to start using our Rubbermaid Grout Cleaning Tool which saved a lot of scrubbing with a small brush. As soon as I had gone over all the Grout lines it was time to start from the beginning to wash it all off. The Tiles had a shine to them we had not seen since we moved in.

to the Storage Room.
It was shortly after 4:00 when the task of cleaning all the Grout in our apartment was finished. Since I had left the Desk where it had been moved to allow the Tiles to completely dry it was time to put it back. Looking at the Before and After it was well worth the effort to clean up the Ceramic Tiles in our Apartment.

I managed to get things ready for a few more projects that I’ll get into tomorrow. Even with plans made they can still be changed. We cooked a Store Bought Thin Crust Spicy Chicken Pizza in the oven for our late supper while we watched a couple more Hallmark Christmas Movies. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Plans are always changing! So many variables you can't change. It is best to have plans B-Z as backups! You guys did an amazing job with the grout! I hope Kathy isn't suffering too much today.

  5. You all did an amazing job on the tiles it is like night and day. I still think with all the cleaning and fixing you have done since you moved you should get a credit on your rent.
