Basement Empty, Kathy Sorting and Relaxing Evening.

With all the fresh air we both breathed yesterday we weren’t really surprised that we slept in past 9:00 this morning. I was slightly upset but when I looked outside to see that it was still Raining I calmed down. With a forecast for overnight Rain that had been why we had been pushing so hard to empty the Trailer so we wouldn’t be tracking fresh mud inside.

Our breakfast turned out to be a snack along with our morning Coffee/Tea that we had at the Computers. We got caught up on our morning reading before having another more filling breakfast of Eggs and Toasts for our lunch.

As mentioned in other Blogs the Cold Temperature really takes its toll on Kathy and her breathing. She was still feeling its affects this morning. She also didn’t like looking at the Boxes and Bins that we had piled in the middle of the Living Room and she wanted to go through them.

Today the forecast was calling for the Rain to end by noon and the temperature was to climb to 43 F (6 C). The forecast also called for temperatures to drop back near the Freezing Mark tomorrow. Knowing there was only the Basement in the Trailer to clean out Kathy stayed to sort through the Boxes and Bins while I took the Truck to finish the Trailer.

After arriving at Guardian Storage the first thing I did was go to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit to retrieve some Boxes. Going to the Trailer I then finished removing the Bicycle Carrier before loading the Containers and boxing the rest of the basement contents. Even though the Humidity level was higher today with the warmer Temperature and lack of Wind it was only a matter of a few hours before that was all packed away in our Storage Unit.

Having brought the Coupons we have gotten in the mail with me I made a quick call at 4:00 to see what Kathy would like for me to pick up and let her know that the Trailer was totally emptied. I stopped at Harvey’s where I picked up a couple of Grilled Chicken Sandwiches, Onion Rings and Soft Drinks. I was in the Apartment shortly after 4:30.

Kathy had been busy doing the Dishes and sorting through the Boxes and Containers she could. I still have to go through my Clothes that were packed. We topped supper off with a couple pieces of Cheese Cake.

After watching the 6 o’clock Local News we also watched a couple of Hallmark Christmas Movies. It felt good just to relax. Tomorrow we have things we need to do that do not include freezing ourselves to working at the Trailer. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

  1. Sounds like a good job done. I seldom miss watching TV but I am sort of missing the Hallmark Christma movies after catching a few when we were in Laughlin...enjoy. Stay warm.

  2. Sleeping past 9:00 a.m. sounds heavenly you have no idea how lucky you are to be able to sleep soundly.

You must feel a great sense of accomplishment to finally have emptied out your trailer as you worked as a team to meet your goal.

Hope your weather improves. It is currently 41 degrees and even though I have the heat set to 75 I am still freezing. I can not even phantom how cold it was when you were emptying out your trailer.
