Looking out the Window this morning at the sky we did not think this was be the kind of day we would be enjoying outside. The sky was again completely filled with Dark Clouds but by the time we were half way through our breakfast there was Rain falling from them. We had cereal for breakfast knowing that we would probably be having a late lunch. We took the time to quickly check our Computers for the latest News while drinking our Coffee/Tea but were heading out the door wearing our Raincoats before 9:30.

Our destination was Clear Imaging in Windsor for a number of tests that our Family Doctor ordered for Kathy. After signing in Kathy was called in at the exact time of her appointment and was only gone for Thirty Minutes. When she returned to the Waiting Room we sat together watching a string of other Patients coming and going all the while the Rain seemed to have increased in intensity. After waiting an additional Hour and a Half she was finally called in at 12:30 for the last Twenty Minute test which required a Different Procedure and Technician.

Once we were finished there we made our way to a nearby Wendy’s where we ordered lunch off the Value Menu getting Two Chicken Wraps, Two Small Chocolate Frosties and Two Seniors Soft Drinks for only $7.19. We were hungry when we arrived but satisfied when we left.
You can see Rain on the Windshield.
We only had an Hour to run a few errands before our next appointment. Our next stop was Guardian Storage where we collected our Mail then drove back to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. Kathy was able to find the “Proof of Purchase” papers for our RV so we can get our Propane/Carbon Monoxide Detector replaced under warranty. I also retrieved a piece of Christmas Wrapping Paper large enough to cover a missed Gift.
When we came outside the Rain was barely falling so with Forty Minutes until our appointment we went to Princess Auto. When we were there the other day I had picked up a Sales Paper and read it at Home. They had 12 Volt Light Bulbs for less then Half of what I had paid in Arizona and others that were only a Quarter of the price. Let’s just say I won’t be needing any bulbs anytime soon.

We took the E.C. Rowe Expressway across Windsor and arrived at Fantastic Sam’s with Five Minutes to spare. Jenna was just finishing her last customer when we walked in. We were originally scheduled for this morning but because we were warned that Kathy’s test would take hours we had rescheduled for this afternoon. We were on our way by 3:00 feeling so much better and not looking like a couple of Shaggy Dogs.

We drove over to the Great Canadian Super Store on Walker Road and did some shopping. We were looking for Celery Root and Rhubarb in the Vegetable Section but there was none. Instead we picked up a couple of Salads and a Frozen Pizza and we were on our way Home by 4:00.
All along the route there was standing water in the Farmers Fields. In the Park water covered most of the roads.
We relaxed at the Computers and managed to read a few more things we had missed this morning. With the Sun finally making an appearance around 6:00 I grilled the store bought Thin Crust Parisian Pizza on our Weber. It had Chicken, Bacon, Spinach and Mushrooms along with a Sauce that we really enjoyed and it didn’t leave us feeling Stuffed.

After washing the few dishes we had we watched the movie A Night In Old Mexico” starring Robert Duvall as a Rancher that had lost it all to the Bank but refused to live out his days in a Trailer Park. It was quite entertaining and we highly recommend it. Two Thumbs Up.

We’re expecting Severe Thunderstorms overnight and Mary is coming in the morning. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
Krackers

Q: Why do bagpipers walk as they play?

A: They're trying to get away from the noise.

  1. You certainly got a lot of things done today despite the rain. I sure hope you all dry out soon and that the severe thunderstorms forecasted for tonight do not affect you.

  5. Hope at the end of those appointments nothing but good news. Nice to have a doctor that cares enough to get those done, even though it's hurry up and wait. The pizza looks yummy
