Early Outdoor Chores, Summer Temperatures, “Step Brothers” and Severe Thunderstorm.

Our Location today is at Wildwood Golf and RV Park, McGregor, Ontario.

We were up minutes after 8:00 this morning due to the bright Sunlight peering around our Window Shades. It felt good having left most of the Windows open last night that gave us all kinds of Fresh Air to help us sleep.

As we enjoyed our morning Coffee/Tea at the Computers the forecast for our area on The Weather Network suddenly went from a chance of Showers to Severe Thunderstorms heading our way. That alone was enough to change our Plans.
Due to all the Rain that we have been getting lately our Grass had really grown so I was soon out there cutting, trimming and cleaning our patio. The high Winds we had gotten yesterday also left a few things that had to be put back in the standing position.
Since I had served cereal for breakfast we didn’t get the chance to enjoy the Rhubarb we had made up yesterday because I couldn’t find the Bread that was buried in the Freezer. Kathy decided we’d have Toast with the Rhubarb for lunch. We will be keeping an eye out for more Rhubarb at the Roadside Stands.
Another thing we had today was a taste of Summer. Before 12:30 our temperature was 82 F (28 C) but with the Humidex it felt like 99 F (37 C). Like many others we know this was no longer a day for working outside so we decided to watch an afternoon movie. Before we could get things started the sky filled with Black Clouds and we could hear distant Thunder.

We watched the comedy “Step Brothers” starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly which was filled with Dry Humour. Not really our kind of movie but it helped to pass the time. Warning: Course Language with Sexual Overtones. We only gave it a Three out of Ten. The fact that we had to pause the movie because of the intense Rainfall had nothing to do with the rating.
For supper we made Toasted Bacon and Tomato Sandwiches along with Coleslaw plus Pickles for sides. We also had Marmalade covered Yogurt for dessert.
Checking our Rain Gauge this evening we had gotten nearly Three Quarters of an Inch of Rain today with more forecasted for every day this week. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. So much rain up in your area and others. We had a pretty good day until late afternoon when the winds returned. High Fire warnings for tomorrow because of super high winds. Hope you have a wonderful weekend

  3. Gotta admit Stepbrothers isn't one of my favorite movies. Some people can watch it over and over, I just don't get it! All I can think is "bad parenting"!! haha. Boy that is hot temps with rain along with it!

  5. You guys have certainly been getting more than your fair share of rain. I could not believe your "feel like temperature index".

I never knew Canada could experience those type of temperatures, I suppose because in my mind I just figured it was always cold there...I am slowly learning.

I do not know if I have already asked you this...forgive me if I have (blame my CRS) but why do you have to mow your camping space is that not included in your fees?
