Medications Not Ready and A Time To Kill

Our Location today is at Wildwood Golf and RV Park, McGregor, Ontario.

As soon as I opened the Window Shades this morning the first thing I asked was “Are we ever going to see the Sun”? If you focus on dark colours you can actually see Drizzle and looking towards the Tonneau Cover on our Truck it was very visible.
At first we were comfortable as we sat having our breakfast but after moving to our Computers the temperature actually dropped to our daytime high of 46 F (8 C) forcing us to turn our Blue Flame Heater on low to take the chill out of the Trailer.

Since we live further south then many of other Ontario RV Bloggers it did not dawn on me right away why their temperatures were higher then ours. We are in the lower part of Ontario that is surrounded by the Great Lakes which keep this area warmer in the Fall and colder in the Spring because it takes longer for the surrounding water to be the same temperature as the air.
Thinking we would probably take a trip to Windsor to check our Mail I decided to first called Pharma Choice in Amherstburg to see if our Family Doctor had renewed Kathy’s medications. The assistant wasn’t sure but said they’d call me back.
Since it was lunchtime we had a bowl of Minestrone with Italian Sausage Soup along with a couple of Cookies and a half a Plum for dessert and found it more then satisfying.

After cleaning up the dishes I called the Pharmacy again. The Doctor’s Office had not returned the FAX so the soonest it would be ready would be on Monday. I didn’t mention that was when I was planning on doing our Doucettes.

With the Drizzle still blurring our view outside we decided to watch an afternoon movie called “A Time To Kill” starring Samuel L. Jackson, Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock, Kevin Spacey, Donald Sutherland and Keifer Sutherland and many others. It took place in Mississippi during the 1990’s where there was still a lot of Racial Hatred which was fanned by the KKK. Not a lot of action but plenty of drama. It lasted Two and a Half Hours. We gave it Two Thumbs Up.
We kept supper simple by having Spaghetti and a Yogurt Cup for dessert.

Overnight our temperatures will feel like the Mid-Thirties. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  4. That was kind of a dreary start to the day..more like winter than spring. The soup looks yummy, perfect for the day!

  5. Thanks for the movie rating. You are doing us a favour with it because one can not always judge from the description on the packaging if the movie is worthwhile seeing. We should do a borrowing/swap one day as I think you have quite the collection.

  6. If I had a nickel for every time a prescription wasn't ready...

  7. One downside to living in a small town is that many times we have to wait for the medication to arrive from the big city. Though in your case it was different because they never received the prescription from the doctor's office...it happens here too.

While you had to stay inside at least you watched a very good movie.
