It felt strange waking up this morning and it wasn’t Raining but from the looks of the Sky it wasn’t too far away. There was no sleeping in this morning but we did take the time to quickly see what was happening along with The Weather Network. The forecast had not changed since last night and even the Icons showed the Sun as shining. (Must have changed its colour to a pale grey.)
We were out the door by 10:00 heading towards Tecumseh. We only encountered one Construction Stoplight at the Manning Road overpass to the 401 Highway. We still managed to arrive early enough to fill in a questionnaire.
Kathy had a follow-up appointment at Hearing Life for her Hearing Aids where they did a little adjustment for her. When she was finished I was having my hearing tested. It had been over Ten Years since my last one because of the extremely noisy environment that I had worked in. The end result was there was some hearing loss but not enough to warrant any hearing aids. Other then having a heavy Wax build up that my Doctor will clean up I was told my hearing is better then most.
A Few Rain Drops
When we left there we headed westbound on the E.C. Rowe Expressway to Central Avenue. Our destination was VitalAire to see if they had gotten the rest of our supplies in. Since they share the Red Cross building with the Canadian Blood Services we both took advantage of using their comfort rooms. There was a Blood Drive taking place and when I came out someone waiting tried to encourage me to donate. After I showed him my card he was telling all his buddies about it.
Tyra at VitalAire only had a few things for us with the rest being on Back-Order. Good thing our lives didn’t depend on them at this moment.

With this being the last day for Mail delivery we went to Guardian Storage to pick it up. When we got there a Fed-Ex delivery truck was blocking all the Parking Spots so we entered our Code and parked in the Storage Yard itself. We then entered the Office through the Back Door. As luck would have it there was no Mail waiting for us.
Since it was now past noon we drove over to Wendy’s for lunch. Kathy was craving their Apple Pecan Salad with Blue Cheese while I enjoyed their Spicy Chicken Sandwich with Chili rather then Fries. With the Clouds only getting darker we took our time eating and People Watching at the same time.

To use up more time we walked around the nearby Giant Tiger but walked out empty handed.
We drove over to Canadian Tire where after we walked around the store we did walk out with a replacement Tube for our Tandem Bicycle Tires.
We would have had to cross the road to take a picture of this Limo.
Heading up Manning Road we stopped at the Pioneer gas station to top up the Escape. While I was inside settling our account someone drove up to fill up their Stretched Limo. Can you say Huuuummmmmmmmerrrrr. It had over a Twenty-Five Foot wheel base.

We had spotted a Local Fruit Stand this morning that was selling Rhubarb. We have been looking all over for that so we made certain to stop this afternoon. Kathy could only find a couple of bunches that were really ripe.

The Clouds seemed to have thinned a bit by the time we got back Home. Even with the 66 F (19 C) temperature we had to open the Door to cool the Trailer down. Within a couple of minutes after Kathy cleaned up the Rhubarb I was chopping it. It was soon simmering on the Stove and we were both drooling over the thoughts of having it on Toast in the morning.

While Kathy did some Bookkeeping I headed over to the Park Exercise Room. I keep saying how important it is to keep myself fit but with all the errands we have been running it has been hard to get there. I was only gone an Hour but came back feeling much better.
We’ve mentioned before that we actually try some Processed Foods on occasion so that if we like them (only a couple have passed the test) we could use them for a quick meal. Today we tried a Vegetarian Lasagna that took a while to cook in the Microwave but actually tasted pretty decent and not high in Salt.

We decided to watch the movie “Forsaken” Starring Kiefer Sutherland, Donald Sutherland and Demi Moore this evening. It’s an Old Fashioned Style Western without a lot of Special Effects. It takes place in 1872 and talks of the old west but was actually filmed in Alberta. This was also the only picture that both Father and Son starred in together. We gave it an Eight out of Ten.

If the Rain holds out tomorrow we’ll see what we can do around here. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
