After having so much Rain over the last few days we were ready for a change and it started right before we went to bed. The Wind started blowing just enough that the Slide Toppers were rattling making us aware that it was there.
The Flags are pointing to the South. Love the Blue Sky.
When I came downstairs this morning around 7:00 the Sun was shining and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky but when you looked in the direction of Ken’s Flags you knew the wind was blowing. That may sound weird but that happens a lot in this area during the winter.
The Windsock is pointing east and the Wind Generator is spinning.
By the time Kathy came downstairs the Wind had increased to the point that it was once again rattling our Slide Toppers so rather then rushing to do nothing outside we were enjoying our second cup at the Computers when we had a knock on our door. It was our neighbour Ken asking if that was our Fresh Water Barrel that the Wind had blown into the Wash on the other side of the road Two Hundred Feet away. A quick glance was all it took to verify it was our Barrel. The Winds had changed direction and thought it would rearrange things for us including a couple of Chairs and the Cover on our Generator. Even though I had my Work Sweater on I felt chilled to the bone after being outside for only a short time.
Kathy made Sandwiches with the Leftover Pork Roast and added the Broccoli Salad that we had picked up at Coyote Fresh Foods yesterday for our lunch. We also had a couple of personal sized Fruit Pies as a dessert.
I sent a Message to the Amazon Vendor that is shipping the new Power Meter for our Wind Generator informing them that Quiet Times will not be accepting any packages after 4:00 on the 29th of March so if there is any kind of delay will they forward it to my Mailing Address in Windsor. Now I have to wait for a response.
The wind was only gusting to 30 MPH this afternoon but that’s enough to worry Kathy. With no plans to go anywhere and our Battery Capacity Meter indicating that our Batteries were Fully Charged we decided to watch a movie. Getting movies at different outlets for Five Dollars or less we have a variety of movies ranging from recently released to older releases. We watched “Into the Storm” which is about storm chasers filming Tornadoes and helping to save people in a community that was being hit by the storm.
When that was over the Wind was still rattling our Slide Toppers, the Batteries were still Fully Charged and it was only 3:00 in the afternoon. We watched another movie called “A Dangerous Place” about Martial Arts. It was nearly 5:00 when it ended.
Since our activity level was low today Kathy made us each a small sized Strawberry Shortcake for supper. It satisfied our craving without filing us up.
The Weather Network is forecasting a low temperature 43 F (6 C) feeling like 37 F (3 C) overnight. Looks like I’ll be turning on our Blue Flame Heater in the morning. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  3. It's been crazy weather, that's for sure. I have to admit I've had no problem sitting on the couch all day!!

  4. I'm not surprised that your water barrel went airborne. We had 64mph winds here in Roswell and it tore down whole house sidings, uprooted trees and there was a sand storm that darkened the sky for most of the day.

  5. The wind was certainly with us yesterday and it seems to want to stay a little longer. I can see the bushes moving as I write this. Some days are meant for staying inside and watching movies sounds like you two enjoyed that sort of day.
