Running Errands, Packing Christmas Gifts and Getting Tired.

With the lack of Sunlight seeping into our temporary bedroom we’ve been tending to sleep later in the morning so when we heard movement upstairs at 8:10 we got up to start our day. By the time we were ready to head upstairs at 8:25 we barely heard an outside door close before being met by Sanford. We immediately realized that there was another reason for the lack of Sunlight. Looking out on the Deck there was close to an Inch of wet Snow. That Four-Letter Word that we try so hard to avoid each year. By the time we had finished our breakfast the Sun was in fact trying to make an appearance and the Snow was already starting to disappear. 

With the turn of events of the last few days we needed to delay going to the Trailer this morning. Our first stop was at Subway to pick up a couple of Six Inch Subs for our lunch, that our daughter had given us Coupons for. It wasn’t until we got to the Cashier that we noticed it was expired. The young attendant just smiled and pulled out a valid Coupon that gave us the same deal. 

Our next stop was at the Credit Union. It seems every year they are changing things you need to do when doing On-Line Banking. We know this is meant to protect us from someone taking from our accounts but they do it when we are away. It took a while but finally everything was reset and we can again do our Banking On-Line. 

Even the Truck was covered with Snow.

Next, we had to stop at Master Locksmiths. To avoid carrying a big pile of keys I divided my keys into smaller sets and just attach the sets needed to my Belt Clip. Unfortunately, that Belt Clip has released Two smaller sets of keys at different times. Since there are still Keys hanging there you don’t notice the weight change. The Belt Clip is being replaced and so are the lost Keys. 

Lastly, we drove over to Benson’s Tire on Howard Avenue. When Adam examined the puncture on the Flat Tire I changed last night he said that was a Sidewall Blowout. He had to order the tires and they’ll be in on Monday just on time to tow the Trailer.

We finally made it to the Trailer at Guardian Storage by 11:00 and started packing as soon as the Slides were out and the Blue Flame Heater was turned on. People have commented after seeing inside our Trailer just how Organized everything is. What that Organization means is using as much of that space as possible without wasting it. It also means there is a lot more there then meets the eye.

We packed the Remaining Clothes on Hangers inside our closet into our remaining Suitcases first so that we could pull out all the Christmas Gifts we had put away. It was 12:30 when we stopped for a quick lunch before getting back to work. It took Two Large and One Medium Box adding up to Thirteen Cubic Feet to pack all the Gifts away and I didn’t waste an Inch of space. Because there was a possibility of Rain Showers this afternoon we took Two Trips to the Storage Unit to deposit Three Suitcases, Two Large Boxes, Seven Medium Boxes and Two Small Boxes.

With all the Bending, Twisting and Lifting taking its toll on the both of us, we called it quits at 5:30 and headed over to Harvey’s for supper. We were hungry enough that we both ordered the Combo Meals this evening and it felt good just to sit there and relax for a bit. 

Sanford greets us at the door whenever we come home.

Back at Karen’s after relaxing for just a short while Kathy started organizing things for her Bookkeeping while I got caught up on my Blog Reading.

We are hoping to finish packing at least the inside on the Trailer tomorrow but with these 39 F (4 C) temperatures it’s a little difficult. We also wanted to wash the Desert Dust off the outside before bringing it to the Dealership on Tuesday. Wish us Luck!
