Errands And A Good Friday The 13th Visit.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

After listening to the sound of the rain on our roof throughout the night neither of us were in a hurry to get out of bed this morning but when we saw the sun pecking around the edges of the shades we knew that we didn’t want to miss a minute of it.
At breakfast we discussed what had to be done in the little time we had to ourselves. After a short time on the computers Kathy began compiling a list for groceries that she needed to pick up while I made the bed. We needed to get some walking in so we walked over to the park Trash and Recycle Center. On our return we stopped at Bill and Rosie’s site where I introduced them to Kathy. I got to meet them while doing the laundry yesterday. Back at the trailer we worked together to make an early lunch.
It felt good to be driving the backroads under a mostly sunny sky. At true sign of the nice weather was seeing all the Street-Rods that have been kept hidden away from the rotten weather our area has been dealing with. Our first stop was at the Home Hardware Building Center in Amherstburg to pick up an AC adapter for our Big-Buddy propane heater along with a plastic eaves-trough few bags of soil and gravel for our site. There was a problem when I tried to open the electric rear window of the truck cab. All I hear was a snap sound and a fine piece of cable was sticking up on both sides of the center pane. We presently have a manual window that I’ll add to the list of things to fix.
Our next stop was Walmart where the only thing we purchase was groceries before heading back home.
After unloading our purchases from the truck I chose to go online to see what was involved in fixing the truck window but all that kept coming up we talk to a mechanic for a flat rate of $35.00. That I didn’t need. What I thought I would find was a simple diagram or picture of what the drive system looked like.
Kathy needed a Snap so she sat in the recliner for a couple of minutes. Imagine her surprise when a half hour had passed and just as she woke the phone was ringing. It was Jerry calling wondering where we were. We were late!
Gerry showing me all the things he can do with his Smart Phone.
We drove up to the 19th Hole restaurant where we met our friends Gerry and Sandy for dinner. We haven’t seen them since before the New Year and since then they have been to Hawaii and on a cruise. We all enjoyed the special of the day lake perch.

When the meal was over we headed back to our trailer where we sat outside for a short while until the breeze made it feel too cold. Inside Kathy served Lemon Meringue pie and tea so we could all warm up. Then we sat in the rear bedroom (AKA our office/visiting room) and continued catching up. One thing Kathy and I are not really into smart phones and texting. After Gerry had mentioned that they did it all the time he started showing me what could be done and then Sandy started showing Kathy. We’ll probably advance our technology someday when we have time to sit and explore it. We had a wonderful visit and totally forgot about the time. We’ll also be getting together more often throughout the summer. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Krackers

Ask a silly question

When it rains, why don't sheep shrink?

  1. Oh boy, if we weren't into texting not sure how often we would hear from the girls. Now we hear from them everyday no matter where we are.
