Chores and Solutions.

Our Location today is Punta Gorda, Florida, USA.

Last night there was no rain or wind to keep us awake and yet I still managed to be awake every hour. Finally not being able to lay in bed any longer I settled in at my computer to get my morning reading done. Shortly after 8:00 Kathy noticed my absence and came looking for me. That is the advantage of having a trailer with a bunk. It has multiple rooms and we each can have our own quiet space without disturbing the other.

Once breakfast was completed Kathy did her computer reading while I made the bed and then sorted the laundry. It has been over a week since the last time it was done and Kathy had researched the addresses of three laundromats in Punta Gorda. From experience we have learned not to just look up one address because it could be closed or moved to another location.

Luckily we found a well maintained laundromat at the first location. Our GPS took us to the correct address but did send us about ten blocks up a one-way street only to bring us back nine of those blocks on the next one-way in the opposite direction. Kathy managed to get some reading done while sitting in the truck and was just about to have a Snap when I returned with the laundry completed.
Saw this Jeep at the Laundromat.
It had an aftermarket carrier with a side mounted ladder.
Since it was nearing 1:00 Kathy programmed the GPS for a nearest McDonalds. There was a double reason for going there and the first was to quell our hunger. The second was to update our computers. Yes we have our own MiFi but imagine the data that two laptops would draw on our limited plan. We took our time eating and didn’t leave until nearly 2:30 waiting for the computers to finish updating.

On our return we passed by the Muscle Car Museum which we plan to visit at a later date while we’re in the area. We did stop at Home Depot as there are a couple of projects that we had thought about. While I was searching through the hardware section Kathy was searching in the storage organizing section. When I struck-out on my search I found Kathy just before she came to get me. Sometimes all we get are more ideas but now we needed some measurements.
We like to see these Bottle Brush plants when we come to Florida.
Back at the trailer we put away our laundry and then while I set the computers back up Kathy partially emptied our front closet. We did a lot of measuring and with a few adjustments here and there we should be able to make Kathy’s side of the closet more efficient.

For supper I grilled a couple of nice ham steaks on the Weber to go with the Caesar Salad that Kathy made. Before it got too dark outside I showed Kathy how I’ll redesign the bracket on the front of the trailer to resolve the issue of the flags being too low.

The Weather Channel indicated we had hit the mid-seventies this afternoon but with the northeast breeze all day feeling really cool we barely took our jackets off throughout the day. We are supposed to feel the cooling effects of the north wind for a few more days. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
